Shadow slave or LOTM 😎
You might not find that many great novels. Most are old and my first novels so bit biased. Anyway few of them are:-
A valiant life(my first webnovel),
King of gods, lotm, unrivaled medicine god, otherworldly evil monarch,
Daddy's fantasy restaurant(good till like 2000 chapters), great doctor ling ran(read till like 900 chapters),
I am really a super star(banned so incomplete and is very racist and nationalistic),
Hell anchor from hell or something like that(mtl),
Throne of magical arcana,
Emperor domination.
These are few I remember rn. Lots of other I don't remember the name of.
Both are really good. I just finished LOTM recently and I’d say other than the very beginning being really slow for most people and the endgame fights/some concepts being hard to follow its writing quality is overall probably the top of web novels. Start was unbearable for me though I almost dropped it like 4 times especially since the translation was a bit shaky from what I remember
Shadow slave on the other hand unlike LOTM doesn’t have a slow as start but since the author is on a 2 chapter per day contract the writing quality visibly downgrades (slightly). Both still have very high highs though.
Both had moments that scared me and I didn’t even know I could get scared from words 😂
How is lotm after 1000 chapters? Do you guys remember that hiatus at around 900 something chapter? That completely destroyed any interest left in that novel for me. Tried so many times to get back into it but couldn't. Also didn't like that new antagonist amon. It was like I think 3-4 years ago. I don't exactly remember.
Still was a great read. But slice of life popcorn novels or protagonist strong from the start type novels are more fun for me nowadays. Slow paced complex stories really boring to read.
Damn you didn’t like Amon? That is an insanely hot take for most people that read LOTM I think. People are obsessed and scared of him lol most people have him in top 5. I think he was my favourite character in the whole novel.
I’m not sure about the hiatus or whatever since I read it recently but 900 - 1200 ish was my favourite part of the novel where Amon starts doing stuff. The last 150 chapters was eh for me since I found it difficult to understand some stuff and the fighting got hard to follow because of how abstract some of their abilities became.
I do see what you mean though, once I drop or take a break from media or fiction I find it incredibly difficult to get back into
I guess at that time Amon was just introduced to the story and for some reason I just couldn't like him. I think I was more fine with his brother tho. And yeah that break of like 2 or 3 months really destroyed all my interest. And at that time I wasn't very familiar with mtl novels so didn't know if there was any mtl version for the novel with more chapters available or if it was just hiatus.
