Interesting, who'll T1 pick to move forward

Feels like Sylvan is a smarter player(although weaker individually) and he's not prone to overheating/dying without using his util

Carpe is a better shooter but he's not really a smokes player that you need

Carpe was a good sub but I think Sylvan overall would be better moving forward with the team. True the firepower is lacking atm but once he gets his confidence up then having a smart player who can also shoot is a huge thing for the long run

I think both Sylvan and Carpe have the same firepower, but Sylvan is a better team player.
And Carpe should be in charge of assisting and taking care of the mental health of the players in the coaches.
For Smoke player, Jaxe is an alternative.
He has a high Rank KD, which means he has high potential.
IZu as Smoke and Rb as Flex is also a good idea.

Of course.
The iZu can perform consistently with basically any character.
Especially when Champions Vandal is also using iZu is insane.
T1 would have trouble with Sylvan's (Carpe) position.
The best choice is Mako.

i doubt mako would leave DRX for T1 though, esp because of stax-mako disagreement over igl

Stax said he did not want to play IGL.
After Stax left, Mako said he missed his seniors.
Sylvan (Carpe) position is in charge of 2nd IGL.
Mako is now in charge of IGL.

Really and truly Mako is too last piece best for T1.

But I don't think Mako will abandon DRX as you suggest.
