i stopped solo queuing like a year ago
it means i dont play nearly as much but the few games i do play i can enjoy
its also meant i've plateaued and become hardstuck but honestly if its at the cost of being able to tolerate ranked teammates its probably worth it

Realizing that you should only soloq if youre truly obsessed with the grind is the move. If you dont enjoy ranked alone, you dont soloq. If you don't enjoy soloq and dont have any friends that play valo, you dont play ranked. You play swifts or the deatmatch modes, or dont play at all.

Gotta put real value in your time in general. Don't do things you don't actually enjoy.

This is correct. The moment I realized I no longer cared for my rank or RR and just wanted to play with my friends and 5 stack was when I started having a lot more fun in Valorant. I might've quit the game entirely if I was genuinely trying to grind to a higher rank.

I can't play with these instalock reynas either they lurk the entire map or go 0 kills the first 8 rounds. These mfs don't even try to learn a dive duelist we have to fucking waddle in like sheep.
Last 8 games i haven't played with a single dive only reyna and iso

There was a guy who instalocked reyna and told me to fill. Usually they say it knowing theyre gonna drop 30 ish kills. This mf went 9/20 and said that he didnt know how to entry since the team usually does it for him😭😭

I solo qued all the way to IMM 1 as a 38year old father. Diamond and plat was definitely the hardest to get out of. It took me approximately 3 years to do playing about 5-8 games per week. Trust me, i didn’t really enjoy it. And it caused a lot more mental stress and harm than good.

Haha thank you! Well, working from home definitely helps! But surprisingly enough my wife completely supported me grinding the game out. W wife! All the late night grinding and raging at insta lock lurking duelist, getting baited game after game just to lose rounds….she was there for it all <3

There's a lot of LFT discords and sites you can reach out and play ranked or even super casually. If not, play other fps games and give yourself a new challenge and get addicted to that.

Honestly play for self improvement(includes your own mental+ try igl'ing) instead of rank points.

i swear most of the time i act more like a fucking therapist trying to balance and chill people out these days.
did go from A1->immo2 peak this act doing this lmfao

stereotypes is a fact on eu servers, avoid frankfurt, avoid paris, avoid madrid, and u have a lowert chance of getting the ff reyna or people that dont even speak.
not saying it dont exist but they are dramatically higher on some servers

EU servers are braindead I swear down. When I clear site or drone and I call a strat they either disregard it and speak in their native tongue and run it down mid I just might never q again unless w a proper duo

Thing is, at some point you'll start playing for some kind of rank related reason because you can see your ranked progress after every game. You see it go up? You wanna keep going. You see it go down? You feel worse as your session goes on.

I wish it worked how CSGO ranked works (or used to work, i havent played in game ranked in years) where you dont really know your ranked progression, you just play and let the hidden MMR do its thing, and get rewarded with a rank up (or down) eventually.

i mean sure, im just saying what helped me get better in the game, i used to tilt alot before because somehow if ur a lil attached to ur rank u see a person throwing as someone that takes something away from u instead of just thinking "whatever" theres gonna be assholes everywhere in life, u cant conrol that.

u can control how it affects u tho

i do realise i come off as some kind of preacher here but i do think its value on just focusing on yourself, even if u start in valorant itl make u better in general

Nah i totally get what youre saying and its valid, but its also easier said than done when the game flashes in your face how good or bad your progression is going. Its like compulsively stepping on a scale to see your weight like 5 times a day. That's just not how real progress works.

That attitude really doesn't help you though. If you're going to lash out at your teammates like that you shouldn't solo queue in a team-based game. You're going to get queued with people who suck. You can't let it get to you like that.

Honestly though, the skill of the general player base has improved so rapidly over the past couple years that it does feel too much sometimes. My mechs have always been on the weaker side and now there's just too many games I'm losing because of whiffing in duels. It's tough.

Solo q-ing is much better tbh if u are below immortal radiant because its easier to lock in and play selfish. Trust me, the recipe to climb in ranked is to pick jett/raze or chamber or clove and just bait the fuck out of ur team just like how aspas play.

I liked to play alone back then, my secret was to be playfull, but some people are just too childsh.
Or they are kids (Mute all kids), or they was teenagers/youngs (14 ~ 22). They would give no coms and only talk to trash talk (Screaming ofc) blaming the team.
In that case just mute they.

Fun fact (Confirmed by Havard): If you mute they, kill more, and just say "Open tab before speaking dumbass", they 100% are going to troll u all the match, and if u didn't muted they, you would hear a lot of N words, "kys".
That happens bc they are childsh adults and virgins who are never going to be a MAN. And they know that, so they will use their kid rage at you
