there are no mickey mouse tourneys. if th/fnc/nrg etc didnt make it, they weren't good enough
people call all the lock-in tournaments mickey mouse - i think the thought is that at the beginning of the year most teams arent really locked in and dont have the prac time in yet. it's a stupid argument though no lockin winning team has been weak
Imo the only Micky mouse event was 2022 Reykjavik.
Every other event had the teams who were good enough qualify Reykjavik was the only time a top just couldn't go through no fault of their own
madrid really wasn’t mickey mouse. of the eight madrid teams, only two of them didn’t make it to champs, and of three of the six who did got to the top four.
The only team at bangkok i think might not make it to champs is liquid, and i’m sure one of the eight teams at bangkok will win champs
There is no such thing as a Mickey Mouse tournament, but it's normal for the first tournament of the year to have a lower level of play, as most teams are new and will improve over time.
