the problem is valorant or any other esport doesn't really have its own hltv,no 3rd party site in valorant is big enough to do shit like this
They do have something like this in league, its just not global awards, instead they have awards in the regions. The LCK is the Korean league and they have a ceremony to awards the best players in LCK. Here in Brazil we have the "CBLOL", its the brazilian league, and even tho its a minor region, we also have an award show at the end of the season.
In CS they only started in 2022 i think, and its easier for them to make those cuz all the best players and teams are in Europe anyways. In Valorant it would be harder to schedule an event like that with the best players and teams being all over the world
I feel like valorant awards would lack the professionalism that CS awards have.
When vlr or any similar sites become the de facto news/info source for valorant… I used spike.gg/twitter for a very long time to get val info but HLTV has almost everything within a couple mins of announcements etc
hltv is closer to espn than vlr.gg is to hltv. Not even hate, hltv stores stats and data on CS stretching up to 2000s
vlr should start out by doing their own top20 and then take it step by step every year
it took hltv 10 years of top20s to start doing something big like this
The international leagues awards the best players of the season in their own regions, but they just make a post online saying who was voted to be the best and send the award to the players. They could do a whole show about it in their VCT Arenas and make a cool ceremony/party/celebration event with all teams and Valorant related people at the end of every season with those awards in all 4 regions.
