There is a lot misinformation being spread here. The organizers said Melancholy had programs or tools to have an unfair advantage based on the videos and game data. The organizers did respond and said that. https://www.sooplive.com/combotw/community/1466. I am sure Solo88 knows since he posted a picture of Melancholy on twitter on the post you linked. It is an online tournament, I do not think they have access to their computers to know what the software was. The team LANDODGER played against former one team and then VNU esports and won against both. The VNU esports game seemed to not be on vlr anymore but I watched it and saw it on here. I did not see anything about NVIDIA software. Someone said former one team accused them which I also did not see.

Heh, just like me! I got banned from valorant despite not using cheats! Wow, we have so much in common. Honestly I support whatever this person has to say and we should stand against unfair judgement, because it's unfair!

The player in question did not get banned by riot's client/anti cheat, and they submitted their POVs + facecams. The player they accused of cheating didn't even frag out, he only had a 1.00 k/d ratio lmao, and he also went negative on fk/fd.

Like, assuming none of the above are lies, which would be easily provable if they were, it seems pretty unfair to me.

Yeah I know, probably worded my message incorrectly.

It is extremely unfair

I don't even understand how they're allowed to do that though. I understand it's SOOP's tournament but it represents Valorant and it's competitive scene the same, no? So shouldn't riot have some discretion on what grounds SOOP is allowed to disqualify teams off of. And if they think a player is cheating but hasn't been caught by the anti-cheat then that should be something that is brought to Riot's attention and to investigate how innnocent/non-innocent his account is

Yeah. The player who got accused of cheating is Russian while the accusing team is a relatively popular Taiwan team, so that might have something to do with it.

the accused player wasn’t solo88 it was Melancholy, who honestly came outta nowhere from the hk/tw scene

On their soop community page, it says that LAN Melancholy is suspected of cheating not Solo88. I am sure Solo88 is aware of this since he shared a picture of Melancholy on twitter on the post you linked. You can watch the videos. I think Melancholy is sus and Pony is also a bit sus. As someone who follows Taiwanese Valorant I have never heard of pony before. I think LAN is Solo88's team so he is also responsible. I agree with the disqualification.

They said they reviewed the video and game info. I am no expert, but when I was watching I was thinking Melancholy was nervous or something cause he was aiming differently, the speed of his mouse was faster and started killing everyone. I thought if had those peak moments more often, he would be the best or top 2. So when I saw the community post I was not very surprised. I was rooting for them when watching cause they were mostly new faces in the scene vs old faces (I only knew of teddy and thought he was pretty good).
