I'm telling you, if Challengers Thailand worked like every other region and had Stage 2 directly qualify you to Ascension instead of a separate qualifier for some reason, they'd literally be in VCT Pacific this year. Especially since they're a better team than FULL SENSE and FULL SENSE came 3rd (and also the top 2 teams made it in because BLEED).

MITH kinda just choked the final tbh. Was definitely a GEN vs T1 Split 1 kinda game

In any case, they did upgrade this year by getting Laz from NKT, so if they don't make Ascension this year I'm gonna be upset

Essentially what it meant is T1 (who wasn't that good this tbh) made Shanghai (would've been a better example if it meant GEN didn't make it, but you get the point, one random game with an unlikely outcome decided which team would make the event)

oh I thought it was like a battle of throws. unlucky tbh but I think spg still wins over mith. they didn't lose a map until grands and they looked shaky on that day.

MiTH are not beating SPG lol, they might have been better than FS but FS literally got 13-0ed on their arguably best map

They wouldn't've beaten SPG but they probably would've beaten BME and therefore ascended because BLD exists (or, rather, doesn't exist)

it's not exactly clear if MiTH would have beaten BME either tbh. or even Riddle. MiTH is good sure but FS weren't slouches when they played at Ascension. besides, it's not like MiTH choked a bo3. they lost a bo5 1-3. looking at the vlr page shit wasn't even close either + mith had the double map ban advantage too

That's true, but in the 8 days prior to that match they had played twice and MITH had won both times (5-1 in maps, 76-47 in rounds) so it's not like they were evenly matched. It just kinda happened to be a bad day for MITH
