Pretty chill dude from the interview. A few things questionable on his side - not waiting for the talks to end, staying at a different place from team etc - but understandable.
Every team does need that frat chemistry tho, look at PRX vs EDG pearl at Tokyo if they all just "showed up for work/ranked everyday" and didn't have that close chemistry no way in hell would they have made that 4-11 comeback or even made 3rd in that case.
They are going to have to play with each other for the rest of the season most likely (or at least until after kickoff) and having someone who's basically just some random person that you get in a ranked q instead of an actual close friend wouldn't make any sense. Would you rather play with someone random in ranked or one of your closest friends?
24 NRG didn't have that chemistry and is why they failed so badly
I'm more frustrated that C9 has had that high level of chemistry in the past with mediocre results, experienced markedly improved tournament performances under Rossy's allegedly unfun regime, and now has opted to regress again.
Of course PRX/EDG-level is ideal, but the choice that C9 faced here wasn't between a PRX-type team and a '24 NRG-type team, I think.
I have faith in Mitch, but man I feel like if a kid like Rossy not only survives a year in APAC franchising but comes back and ~succeeds~ (tactically) as an IGL, it has to mean something ...
