T1 shold expand to 16 teams

Hi vlr, as usual in the preseason (and now most of ascention are over), i'm want to raise some debate.

So today I want to tell you why Tier 1 should expand to 16 teams, 2 ascended more and 2 partenered more and since you can't read, here is a video that explan why :

Hmmm, I think they can, and the only reason why we wont expand to 16 yet, is the timing, and the fact they want to wait few yers for stability, 2027 may be the year or the 16 teams

I believe 12 is just good for budget, time (they don't like the season going year round for some reason so less matches help that), stability, introduction of relegation earlier rather then like 4 years from now.

12 is good if you 2 2 round robin, with a single round robin 16 is irrealist, but without it become the best number and augment minimum games theory that people complain about adding only 4 week of competition

They won't. They already updated the limit from 14 to 12 teams. The system was initially designed to have 14 teams from 2027 onwards, but they went back on this decision

But they realise the system couldnt be 14 team because of 2 group of 7 problem

Viewer experience isn't a priority to them.
Company profit is paramount. The more the better.
You don't actually expect them to let go of a single dollar in order to increase viewer experience do you?

Won't happen considering they went from 14 slots to 12 slots. If they could, they would probably reduce spots even further.

Don't you think it's because they want to be sure every team will not have a bye or a team play 2 games in a week ? (Avoiding group of 7 ?)

A team with the 3 CN T1 player would be really strong, it's true CN T2 isnt ready yet (And technically DRG did top 3 CN in split 1)

I can’t watch the video right now but doesn’t this break the franchising agreement contracts?

Additionally wouldn’t this disincentive orgs to invest into valorant because if more competition?
(I’m sorry if these are point u discuss in ur video I can’t watch in at this moment :’c )

Why would it break the franchising contratct ? To summup the conclusion of the video : We should have 2 more ascention team, and 2 more partenered team (Representing T2 region that have no T1 team)

Thatsnot more competition, thats just 4 games more in the tier 1

OCE is good enough, they are 3 player in T1 and 1 that went ood in ascention, plus JFT did a good run despite having no long term scrim

Mking a regular format with 7 reagion is a misghtamre, what are we going to dofor the EMEA end of split tournament ? 1 pool of 7 ? 2 pool of 14 ? Give a T2 to CIS and everything is SOLVED, we can do every format we want
