Some studies has shown that Since the inventions of phones and computers, ADHD has spiked alot which makes sense but the worst part is that I might be affected of it. My brother has ADHD and somehow it runs in the family. I really want it to be true and not at the same time since I want an excuse for my attention span but for the most part I just want to pop some retalin to help me study.

Big question is, is there atleast someone here that didn't know that they had ADHD until further in life? If so how did you find out?

I didn't know I had ADHD till 12

Got some testings for it at 14 but they found out I was also autistic lol

I know my sister has it but she didn't get diagnosed till like in her 20s

ADHD is hereditary, however, it is very possible to learn to compensate for it. I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2018 and im finishing my second degree, my father has ADHD yet he is a project manager, and my sister has ADHD yet she has two degrees. My girlfriend and her sister have ADHD but they have very good grades. ADHD is not always a mental impairment. It can be tough to live with sometimes, but if you work on yourself, and understand how ADHD affects you, you can overcome and succeed, especially without medication.

That's pretty inspiring but I am a bit concerned on how everyone mentioned has them, It is pretty cool though to see what can be achieved without noticing it.

I've never tested for ADHD, autism, nor schizophrenia but I have major signs of all three. Not sure if it's the biggest deal in the world if true, but it would explain a lot of things about myself.

I found out when I was 17 explained a lot, one of my friends pointed it out when we were studying in the library and I got it checked out

Only way to know for sure is to see a psychiatrist never trust those online quizzes since the symptoms can be explained by many things like some vitamin deficiencies

Fair enough, Tried those online things and tbh the questions are so generalized that anyone could be mistaken to have ADHD just from taking those.
