hypest events by far. Lock-in and champs was bliss. Fnatic rarely going under 6 rounds lost per map for a whole year was awesome too -

Despite the lack of quality gameplay from apac, vision strikers still reinvented the game which eu and na teams quickly stole. Gambit was unreal, and even old sen was hype to watch even though they fell off rather quickly. -
2022
Great year for sheer rivalry, problem was only 4 teams rose to any sort of top level: optic, loud, fpx and drx. Optic vs loud rivalry will go unchallenged though y0y

Now that recency bias is over I think it’s fair to say that this year was screwed by the format. Champ points proved to be a complete joke, and kick-off was beyond Mickey Mouse. Champs was hype but lack of GENG killed a lot of the storylines ngl

2024 - it's last but still pretty good. Trash format really made this year kinda awful. It was very interesting seeing mediocre/trash teams last year and dominating this year. Nice storylines as well.

copenhagen had fpx win with sub, loud optic both upseted and elimnate one of them in groups, prx going crazy to get 2nd, leo/sayf/trexx intl debut, alfa debut, Kingg v xset (melser got the spike and tped into heaven), lev v fnc (HES STICKING IT), boaster astra op, etc, Cryo and Zekken debut, PRX v FPX (SUYEGTSU THE AIM THE RESET)
lcq na had SHROUD on sen-and they somehow almost beat the top 2 finishers, 100T going crazy with sean gres being the best coach itw, and tgrd choking once again, zellsis proved he wasnt washed and was the reason he was highly sought after in 23
champs had 100T upseting FNC, DRX v FURIA 12-4 comeback (RB DRAGS HIS TEAM OVER THE LINE), Boom v Optic (Xeffro breaks the kill record + rope incedent), Optic v Loud x3, XSET upset FPX, EDG debut, Scream gets knifed by Victor, DRX v FPX Ascent (ARDIIS-THE MAN WHO CAN WALK ON WATER + Stax kissing his mouse), FPX v Xset turret incedent, DRX break their 5/6th curse and go above and beyond, DRX v OPTC (AUUUGH WHAT SPRAYDOWN), The best GF in Valo history (Aspas blind knive kill on Marved, Aspas op on breeze for OT, crashies whiffs his classic on sacy, Aspas 1v4, less ace, Sacy 1v3
i disagree 2024 champs points are a good system rewarding teams for actual good play through out the entire year instead of fluking a run threw playoffs with minor changes like giving champs points to TOP 4 instead of just the winner it can add to next year but the lack of geng in playoffs takes alot off 2024 agree with that riot's decision was a little gimmicky to have honestly the best 4 teams in the same group with little to no reward cause the start of champs is always hype for viewership they just lose there biggest storyline for basically shits and giggles love it since EDG got there win but lowkey felt weird since edg were kinda ass the whole year and they just won..?
