Lacking/Repeating Storylines

Maybe we were spoiled with Jinggg leaving storyline which made 2023 Champs feel special, but this whole event hasn't had great storylines imo. Maybe the unpredictability made it hard to create and grow storylines for dominant teams, but everything feels like a rematch or a first to do something. China potentially winning its first is great, but with Shanghai already having the same storyline it doesn't feel any more interesting.

Because it's more about the game becoming more equally split this year

After failing to win in Shanghai, winning in Seoul would be a great storyline.

benjyfishy winning Champs might make him one of the greatest gamers oat

wo0t from not even being able to play in Kickoff to winning Champs

These storylines are still insane no matter who wins. And it's not just NA or EU teams anymore

EDG: redemption run from their previous 2 events this season and could potentially land China their first trophy in their first year of franchising
Trace: finally overcame their choke tendencies and was the first team to put China on the board this champs
G2: went from fucking ASCENSION to top 8 champs
SEN: bounced back from a mid-season fall off and clawed their way out of the group of death
LEV: turned up and became the superteam they were always predicted to be
TH: top 2 as a team with 4 of their players being tier 1 rookies
FNATIC: running it back with Hiro instead of Leo due to health reasons and achieving top 6

disregarding the upgrade of this season's gameplay the storylines here are much more endearing. last champs only really had EG, EDG, PRX, and BLG to carry it in terms of aura imo
