Either a system where Riot evaluates teams more often like 2 years to get rid of teams that aren't trying to make a competitive roster or put the resources into the system like others or a straight up relegation where the bottom 1 to 2 teams are sent to ascension to come back up. I do see the benefits of franchising because it allows teams to take a risk, but hopefully Riot finds some ways to make the bottom teams more competitive and not straight bottom feeders. I get there has to be a worst team, but MIBR putting val money into csgo kinda shows their intentions
Not really sure of an exact way but hopefully a better system than allowing promoted teams one year in a league where they have almost no chance of doing good since every other team has security and infrastructure around them

Think relegation and format will hopefully be reworked in 2027, but doubt it changes before then. Also points are being changed so it's not as dumb next year.
Disagree that every game should be in the large arena, no other esport does this and is a big waste of money. The point of the biggest stadium is to showcase the most important games, you won't fill a stadium for a first round groups game and it's incredibly hard to lock down that big of a stadium for almost a month.

I think they are just the NA tier 2 funnel team. Get some better talent than last year's team alongside Potter and could be decent. Hopefully some of those M80, MXS, or OXG players get a chance and EG doesn't try running it back, but maybe keep a player or 2.

Who's the best spreadsheet guy for this offseason? I know RocketBullets does it, but didn't know if the goat Flynn is coming back or if someone else is better.

Maybe we were spoiled with Jinggg leaving storyline which made 2023 Champs feel special, but this whole event hasn't had great storylines imo. Maybe the unpredictability made it hard to create and grow storylines for dominant teams, but everything feels like a rematch or a first to do something. China potentially winning its first is great, but with Shanghai already having the same storyline it doesn't feel any more interesting.

Honestly was a very fun tournament to watch. Having it every 2 years or so just to get a refresher of teams on lan would be fun. Plus getting rid of an 8 team LAN is totally fine.

If C9 wins, one of these teams will have a good chance for champs. If KRU wins they are most likely both out since they would play 100T and Sen/G2.

How do EMEA teams qualify to Ascension? Is it by points or does VLR just not have the detail that the winner of playoffs qualifies?

If there was a 3 way tie. It would go to map win ratio. So 100T would be 11/11 so 1, EG would be 12/13 so <1, and KRU would be 13/12 >1. It’s a weird system but any way EG is out.

I honestly think benching Less could be good. Bring up a tier 2 player that isn't really less' role and has performed ok recently.

That’s my exact thought about this predicted roster. I saw a vid of Fns saying the problem with Cloud9 is they need that guy which leaf was last year.
