I started playing games at the age of 7, I played my first ever game called FIFA 13. This was probably the best game behind FIFA 18 that I have ever played, the enjoyment it brought me and the memories; Nowadays games are just pay to win, FIFA became the most disgusting and money gambling video game I've ever witnessed. Ultimate team turned into pay 400 dollars a month to keep up with elite squads or lose every weekend league. I quit FIFA to come to my first ever FPS game called VALORANT, I fell in love with this game quickly; just like FIFA it required tactical and strategic skill-based gameplay; HOWEVER it didn't take long to realize how dogshit, how inhumane the community, the lobbies and the gameplay is. The only game where a bullet can go directly into the enemies head and come out of it, The only game where bad PING is rewarded. The only game where the dopamine comes from the skins than ACTUAL gameplay, the only game where the matchmaking seems like a deal with the devil.
Games used to be released when they were finished, games would be released when 100% of all the features and content inside worked as intended. Nowadays companies release games to quickly cashgrab and dip; releasing games with many BUGS, uncompleted features and hidden insane broken mechanics. Games nowadays also promote watered down gambling and actually cause gambling addictions, how many games have loot carts that have 1% mythical pull; how many kids wasted thousands and thousands of their parents dollars to only never get a mythical? What do you think is going to happen to that kid when he grows up? This is pathetic as fuck, was it only what 4 years ago where I wouldn't have to spend a single cent to get rewarded for my gameplay and actual skill rather than having to pay to win? NBA 2k is a prime example of this shit, SPEND about what a thousand dollars to get a 99 OVR player in like the first week? VALORANT is probably the only non gambling, non pay to win game BUT the game is actually AWFUL. In FIFA the only person I could blame, the only person I needed to depend on and the only person who controlled my outcome was myself. It was a 1v1 game, In VALORANT however its a 5v5 game, you're teammates have more of an impact on the game then you have your self, this means every single player on your team has to be willing to play the game with you and communicate or its a losing game. It isn't the 5v5 aspect thats the problem, its not the team aspect of the game, its the MATCHMAKING. I still cannot understand how .77KD players can end up in LOBBIES with 1.17KD+. The worst part is, you can face completely dogshit players on the other team but if you have complete dogshit players on your team, its literally who ever is more dogshit loses; which in most cases is ON your team. Im not a developer, I don't know how riot could fix this, I don't know if it even is fixable.
In conclusion, games nowadays are more expensive, promote gambling, most of them are cashgrabs and are only shells of past games. When was the last time you bought a game and actually enjoyed the game you bought? Isn't it criminal how EVERY SINGLE YEAR a new 2k comes out or a new FIFA game comes out with LITTLE to no changes; just a complete COPY and PASTE from last years game with a few roster changes and new UI. You pay 100 dollars for new UI and roster changes, isn't that fucking criminal? Games are dead!
