yup, at that time there were 3 leagues and no ascension teams. They invited 2 Chinese teams to make it 32. Now it's 4 leagues with 2 ascended teams each, 48

yea 48 is tough. unless Riot got the big balls to make it happen but it'll take a lot of time and work for sure. I think it'd improve a shitload of viewership and popularity though if they pull it off + the new ascension teams coming right in from the start will also make it exciting as well. just a thought.

single elim balls to the wall tournament is actually a really fun (and expensive) idea.
People will say it's 'mickey mouse' or whatever from a quality of gameplay standpoint, but as a viewer it was one of the most enjoyable events imo

Yeah 48 is too much but they still can do a 32 tournament by sending top 8 form each league, they just have to figure a way to get the top 8.

Do it so we have more chances for it to be seen!
It honestly is a great idea, for both the viewers and for the teams since they'll have fun competing and the newer pros/teams will have a good experience as well.
+Attract more viewership and hype and fame and Valorant can takeover CS2 (Respect to CS2, just business)

I know lock//in was hated by the coaches at the time because it was single elim but it was so hype. I miss it and starting off the season with an international like that with everybody was so fun.
