I think you misunderstanding about "idol culture"
It's not about have someone to look up to.
It's mean you have to pretend to be nice all the time to make fans love you.
But that's not the problem.
The worst part is when someone out of their team try to be difference and play another role in the game. They will got witch hunt.
If someone touch they team a bit they will got witch hunt.

Every sports have "idol" but that's not "idol culture"
