Horrible format

This format is one of the worst ever. Sentinels have robbed a spot based off 1 good run. Winning Madrid and kickoff basically set them up for automatic qaul to champs off points unless they played horrible. Rewarding a team who shows no promise based off an 8 team event 6 months ago doesn't make sense, teams like 100t eg or even Furia would be more competitive

They won Kickoff/Madrid, had a super mid Split 1, and then went undefeated in Split 2. How is that robbing? They had a very underwhelming playoffs but SEN have had a good/above average season overall.

My bad, for some reason I remembered the G2 game being a playoff game. Regardless, they only lost one match in split 2. As for the level of competition, you can't really do anything about that. They beat the teams they had to beat. All of the other teams faced the same competition and either didn't win as convincingly or just straight-up lost. They didn't drop a map against the shittier teams. That's how round differentials and H2H work.

It's just that I don't believe they were a top 5 (they could arguably have been 5th) team that split. They really don't deserve champs after bad split 1 and mediocre split 2, they just got set up with 6 champs points off the rip

there was no robbery -- they were just good enough to get there even with a stinker of a second half. the other teams should've just won more if they wanted to take that champs spot. it's how sports work

In European football a team doing super well the 1st half of the season and bottling like sen did in the very end will not be top 4 of the table and qualify for champions leauge, and that's considering their in a top 5 leauge, if not they have to basically win their leauge and then go through champions leaige qualfiers. To make it to the champions leauge you can't collapse like sen did. In American football I get what you're saying but as a steelers fan I know damn well we can start off good the 1st half of the season and still bottle playoffs if we don't finish business in the 2nd half

Yes it's a fluke tournament, to say top 2 isn't accurate, it's much easier to qualify to this tournament, it's much more punishing for good competent teams while benefitting not so good teams, you only need to win 3 series to qual... while having 2 lives

gonna have to disagree about Madrid you have to win in your league to qualify I don't see the logic on how it "benefits" anyone. I can see the problem with the regional leagues though. My main problem with those was that the scores carried over splits which is really dumb.

An outlier 2 years ago is not representative or correlates to the statistics you just made. There is a strong correlation between regular season performance and international placements/skill level, you can cherry pick other examples like EG last year but that's just cherry picking.
