Everyone was waiting for my take on SEN vs. GENG and let me just say... not surprised. Their only claim to fame is Master's Madrid, but let's take a look at the games:
SEN vs. TH: Barely scrape by
SEN vs. KC: It's Karmine Corp
SEN vs. Loud: Back when my boy Saadhak was going -30 in some games, does anyone actually think Loud is good in 2024?
SEN vs. GENG: Loss (get stomped on 2 maps)
SEN vs. PRX: I love PRX but I will never not count on this team to choke. The Leviathan of APAC.
SEN vs. GENG: scrape a win against a team formed 1 year ago, but still, good for them
Regular season: farmed wins against Loud, NRG, MIBR, and Furia to qualify for Champions

Anyway, we all know it's going to be GENG vs. G2 in the finals, what are your predictions for 2025?

As opposed to the SEN fans who ignore the signs of their team's fake rise in skill? I have not seen SEN dominate in years.

They look like toddlers compared to the top international teams. And I'm saying this as someone who wants SEN to succeed.

It's not discrediting, it's just a fact. In the first game of the bracket, they nearly lost to TH in a 13-11 game. The map before, they got stomped 13-5. They were doing good, but not so good that we should be singing their praises.

Was it Lucky? No.
Was it Deserved? Yes.
Did they clearly fall off as the season went on? Yes.
Has Gen.G been better later on? Yes.
Has Gen.G had a better year? Yes.

Good thing a team's skill isn't based on a single game, despite what all of VLR seems to think.

Saying SEN is scraping by far too many games and then expectedly losing isn't hating, it's recognizing a pattern.

if you "scrap by on far too many games" maybe its called knowing how to close games? how many close match wins do you need to realize there's a reason why they always win at the end? closing out games is part of the game and they were the best at it in Madrid

No, they weren't. They didn't choke, SEN had really good prep for the match and played better.

Case in point: SEN had 11/12 first kills on the first half of breeze and ended 6-6. On GENG's best map. They were consistently choking clutches, man advantages, and the pistols. GENG got lucky to win that map, and SEN had insane improvement despite getting stomped earlier.

They literally won against GENG and had the toughest road to win Madrid. 1000+ rounds of valorant on stage in two months. What more did they need to do to prove they were the better team at the time?

everyone on sen went negative except for johnqt vs loud who had 3 positive 2 guys that were neutral
