They've proven more effective this year against international competition. I genuinely feel that if they weren't put through an early gauntlet, they could go further than EDG would.

This is true but I think people are really underestimating new EDG with S1mon as IGL and new coaches. They might play a lot better now at champs than they have earlier in the year.

FPX > EDG in bo3s

FPX is the much better team. Its a shame that we have to see them in the worst possible group (other than the free SEN win). They would easily pass group A and would do well in group C.
