Riot could have made it better by pursuing tournament formats like in R6 or Rocket League, where every team plays fair number of matches per season and nobody is left behind, stronger regions get more attention and weaker regions get exposure too
But they decided to go with open/closed qualifier shit, long months pauses between Stages, 4/3 slots for huge and promising EMEA/NA scenes, basically killing them and every team who didn't make it to LAN

I wouldn't necessarily say emea is the most fucked region overall (just look at oce lol) but youre 100% right that riot has no fucking clue how to structure a tournament circuit, albeit it's probably because it's the first year so they felt that they needed to give some regions more opportunities then they deserve (cough cough brazil cough cough)
Valorant has been out for just over a year, of course the scene isnt gonna be at the level of CS, the start of valorant has been rough. People seem to forget though that counter strike esports has been around for almost 2 decades. New games will never be as high valued until they earn their scene. its too early still to say with val, since likely the format will change for tournaments in the next years.
champions will be watched but only interesting matches. its just the first real major of Val and people will watch it because there wont be something better to do at that time! after champions this game will be useless af and be abused just for content and streaming to farm random viewers who are bored af and might sell their liver to buy a subscription on twitch. i cant see valorant having shit like dreamhack, 99damage tournaments. this game still is in beta too. imaghine not having demo option, a console menu or a desktop friendlist! there must be only trainee devs working for valarant and that might be the reason they need 2+ weeks to fix a single bug! in this damn game you cant even choose a crosshaircolor you want... only option to use some random colors that disappear on every second surface because the game is to vibrant...

If any current Valorant Pros wanted to return to CS with the insane level of competition to get into an EMEA team, all I would say is goodluck lol.
The difference between someone like Jamppi and nitr0 is Jamppi's pro career in CSGO never really took off, for reasons out of his control.
nitr0 on the other hand was solidified at the top level in NA and the NA scene is WEAK in CSGO, so he could actually find a team.
god the valorant doomsday frogs are annoying. nitr0 himself isn't sure if he wants to go back to CS, and this'll only happen if 100T implodes for whatever reason. and this game is a year and a half old, there's still more potential to grow. it's like the CS major scared everyone shitless; buddy CS didn't have a proper major for almost 2 and a half years, of course it would rack in a lot of views. champions, valorant's first major, is around the corner but doomsday frogs think that it won't be able to hold a candle against CS. it might not rack up the same viewership potential, but it will rack up around 1.5-1.8 million, which is more than enough to solidify valorant esports as the next big thing.
nitr0 never delivered. That's the truth. People had high expectations for him since he was tier 1 CS player, but as we all know... Valorant and CS are different games, he could never play as well as he did in CS, he was avarage at best, tried to pick the duelist role after kicking steel and failed to even qualify for champions, now his only hope is to get back to CS and try again, but he will eventually fail and end his carreer miserabily.
