What's next for NRG?

You probably can't tell by my flair but I am an NRG fan. After this announcement from NRG that they are dropping Chet and Victor I have to wonder whats next?

I think they should bring Demon1 back into the starting lineup and should try to pick up Jawgemo and Potter. This probably won't happen but I feel like this would be the best course of action for NRG to follow.

Now this is obviously before we get any other roster moves, like maybe FNS fully retires during the off season or s0m gets a better offer from another team and leaves. If NRG goes into next season with Fns s0m and Crashies, the pick ups I said above would be perfect. Jawgemo and Demon1 perfectly play off each others duelist pool (Demon1's Jett with Jawgemo's Raze and Neon) as well as their smokes pool even with s0m being the main controller.

Obviously this is best case for NRG in my opinion and 99.9999999999% will not happen, but a man can dream.

EG needs to invest more in content to grow their org. they had the perfect chance last year but didn't capitalize on it at all

Even if Vic wasn't comfortable on info initiators I feel like fns could have played them since he has experience on fade from 2022 and it would only apply to a few maps

You can't plan like this, nobody knows what the meta will look like a year from now. What if Sova becomes the best initiator again? imo, having dedicated players for at least 3 of the 5 spots is important (pref. duelist, scan initiator, smokes).

even ethan can play initiators and you can pick up some guy from T2 that plays a bit sova. -crashies +n4rrate would be insane

There is no way crashies is staying on the team. He probably wouldn't be comfortable playing without victor and his performance is not very good in general. I'm assuming they're waiting until Ascension is done to pick up someone from there to replace him. I don't think they need Jawgemo as a secondary duelist if s0m can play Raze. Potter as the coach would be ideal.

Yeah but if s0m plays raze then the controller pool drops by a lot since Demon1 has really only shown top level controller play on Astra and Brim. Jawgemo would play raze if an Omen was needed since they have s0m.

that makes sense. i guess the team can run double controller and double duelist comps easily. double initiator is a little sketch but it depends what's meta next year and s0m is a great flex

s0m would still be the main controller player but now that Victor is gone he is the most flexible player on the team, he can play Harbour viper, he has played flash initiator in the past and did pretty good.

I would agree if FNS wasn't on the team

Nothing wrong with Fenis, but I can't imagine Jawgemo and FNS on a same team honestly

It would be the same thing all over again, just because you put two good players on a same team that doesn't mean it will work

Jawgemo is a hyper aggressive duelist that needs Subway Surfers gameplay on top of his screen to play, he hypes his team and yells after every round

FNS is a more calculated IGL that needs his quiet and peaceful moments to think, that's why NRG never trashtalks or yells a lot after winning a round

It's not better or worse, they're just two different players with different game philosophies

I genuinely think nrg doombros could work if he doesn’t get into an emea team. From what we know he’s given ange1 a fair amount of freedom to decide what he wants to do and then reel it in and refine it I feel it could work well with fns also giving him more freedom

Would s0m work as a duelist and then they bring in Marved? FNS has said he has wanted to play with him this year.

they could, but s0m has said he wants to stay on controller. I believe it was in one of the NRG hot ones videos.
