i'm open to discussion but I feel like this creates a much more exciting league with better match ups and rivalry's. Because bffr for a minute NOBODY wants to see a team like Naos, full sense or boom just dominant like 4 free agent teams in a split. It also makes it so much easier for casual viewers to keep with APAC as a whole (promising new talent and potential ascension winners)

i know riot isn't the smartest company but there's just no chance they only give sea 2 slots I'm pretty sure some random on twitter said that and everyone is going with it and freaking out 🤷‍♂️

People are mad because they think SEA might only get two slots in Ascension, even though there are a bunch of strong teams there (which they think is unfair). But Rito hasn't said for sure how they're splitting up the slots, and VLR's being reactionary as usual...

it's acceptable only if the whole VCL is played on LAN (how the fk ID teams gonna play against HKTW teams) and we get at least half of the ascension tournament slots (last year it was 6/10)

they gonna do roadshows host in different countries around SEA, probally jakarta/Manila/singapore/Bangkok etc.

i dont mind the consolidation and I do think that this makes inter-country rivalries more exciting. What I don't like is the entire SEA region being merged into 1 VCL. SEA deserves atleast 2 VCLs.

Remember the top 4 of Ascension 2023 We're BOOM, NAOS, SCARZ, and BLEED. 3/4 of them are SEA teams. This change doesnt do the SEA region justice.

Maritime and Mainland
Maritime: Philippines, Indonesia, MYSG or maybe just SG
Mainland: Thailand, Vietnam, HKTW, and maybe MY if we separate them from SG

as for slot distribution depends on how riot wants it but maybe 2 for each region

I think riot will give atleast 4 slot for SEA, you SEA guys don't need to worry about it to much and rito knows it very well that their viewership will be rekted up if they give only 2 slots for SEA 💀
