they had to face good opponents and had to play extra matches through the group stages

outside of the game though I can't imagine what is was like, probably felt like everyone in the country hated them

teams refusing to scrim them, getting griefed in their ranked games, the crowd against them during every single game, all because of something their ORG (not the players) accidentally said YEARS ago

I couldn't even imagine being in that situation and the stress/ negative emotions it would cause. Everyone of those players deserve our respect for what they went through to win the trophy

Also Meteor said on stream that many of the players were sick too. Lakia was seen wearing masks and coughing.

Probably one of the most deserving wins ever tbh. GenG have played their asses off all year and went through a ton of physical and emotional exhaustion. The amount of maps they've had to play is crazy and they beat every team they faced regionally and internationally.
