Neither was madrid, the difference was madrid was more fun to watch. Clout teams like sen and loud were in attendance, and overall hype tourney.

Shanghai felt boring and shit, grand finals played in a library

For some reason the storylines just didnt feel as exciting, especially compared to something like champs 23

What even were the storylines in Madrid besides Sen, genuinely curious cause I can't remember any

Not sure if "From Melons to Madrid" counts, but there's that

More of a kickoff storyline considering they just lost in swiss tbh

That's fair, I guess. They did go out in two close series to Sentinels and Paper Rex, though, so it's not like they fell flat

I feel like i only heard NA fans say this event was boring. I think it's probably just about you not being as invested in APAC and EMEA teams as you are NA teams.

Which is fine by the way, and understandable. Tho i definitely wouldn't say it was less entertaining than Madrid, i personally had a lot of fun watching both, i think for most people it comes down to most of the favourites being eliminated rather early.

But yeah it really was not an "easy event" like some people are claiming, GEN G deserved that win, and TH looked really good as well overall.

Can't wait for Seoul

this is somewhat true, G2 and 100T just have 0 aura other teams.

but it was fun watching most of the games.

hope na sends some of the aura teams to champs this time

felt boring to YOU. I personally enjoyed this more and it was more entertaining for me to watch.

It really is bias and the fact that the two teams in the finals are not “superstar” teams.

Before this year nearly all the players were question marks.

It’s fun to see the “new guard” beat the old, but when both teams feel like they have just been established it feels less exciting.

The teams feel like a bunch of really good players and no “Stars”. Texture and woot are making a name for themselves and I think during champs they will feel more like star players.
