i lied. But TE win! ggs to both teams
No, i saw an argument and decided to bring actual proof of it being innacurate. The goal of my response is to actually provide proof for the people who are genuinely interested and wouldn't know better than to judge Lakia off of this one game.
Have a nice day.
I watch everything from all regions apart from americas, i only watch some of the americas games, mostly LEV and G2.

You can cherry pick if you want, i've already said outright that he wasn't the main fragger, but he's good at enabling his team to get said frags.
An additional reminder for the people who, unlike dort, aren't baiting but genuinely wondering, Lakia had a wrist injury for a major part of last year.
Are we going to pretend Lakia had no impact for his team? He wasn't the main fragger, sure, but he was there to back up his team and was there when it mattered.
Hope so, but i think realistically he's more likely to come back next year.
Trace wins this 2-0, mark my words.
In that case, the games today in CN will be fun, it's worth watching.
Trace looks amazing, but get yourself some sleep if you're from the US.
Pro : top 3 CN team right now and great players
Con : I think they're going to lose to Trace Esports
Pro : Brazil
Con : You lost against Furia
Someone already asked but here you go :
Pro : They are good at learning from their mistakes fast ( I.E MASSIVE loss against GEN G in madrid before playing them again in grand finals and winning)
Con : The fandom is insufferable (and slightly off topic, that new jersey is horrid)
Yes, i agree. As i said in another reply, it's not stricly Aleck's fault nor is it strictly the player's fault, it's a mixed bag.
I agree, this is not strictly on the players, and also is not strictly on the coach. VLR users tend to see things very black and white, and i think it's important to put things into perspective and take a step back to look at it objectively.
I said earlier today on another post that i thought PRX looked better than last year, because exactly like you said they looked more disciplined, like they actually listened to each other and played as a team. Today though it seems like they threw that away, maybe it was stress, i don't know.
Hopefully they can go back to that more disciplined look we saw in the off season before that next match.
As i said, i don't think he's a bad coach per say, i just think he's taking the wrong approach humanly speaking. I do agree that if he can be a little more calm, they shouldn't replace him.
This might be a hot take and at the end of the day is a personal opinion but i really think Alecks should have been replaced a while ago, this is not so much about his ability to coach, even though we could talk about that too, and more about how bad he is for the team's mental.
I know most people are like 'haha alecks mad' but genuinely, if you watch any of the vlogs, it has gotten to the point that the players are visually affected by it. Constantly yelling at your players is not going to help them improve, it's going to end up breaking their mental, hurt the team's cohesion, break their confidence and ultimately make them worry during the game as to what they'll be yelled at for next.
I know some people are going to make the argument that "If you don't like getting yelled at you'll try to improve so it doesn't happen again" and i understand where you're coming from but as a coach you should also understand that sometimes your players are not going to magically understand their flaws and get better and that your job is to guide them, help them understand what they are doing wrong and how to fix it.
I do believe that if they had a coach who focused on yelling less and more on actual coaching and anti-strat, they would be a viable team to this day. This is not an attack on Alecks, i'm sure he is trying his best to help his team but i don't think he's taking the right approach to achieve that with his players.

I don't believe they have a chance of winning an international tournament this year. This might be a hot take but i really think Alecks should have been replaced a while ago, this is not so much about his ability to coach, even though we could talk about that too, and more about how bad he is for the team's mental.

Pro : Decent team
Con : Decent team
Any team losing in an offseason event is insignificant. I mean, some of the comps teams throw together make absolutely no sense. Teams hide their strats, etc.
As for today, EDG lost against a team that has a really solid understanding of the game and seriously great individual players. They didn't lose against the worst team in the world. Good teams will lose, be it because they are not as well prepared, because it's a bad day for them or because they play against a team that has a playstyle that works especially well against theirs.
No team in the world will win every match they play, that simply isn't realistic.
With CN teams it's been this problem since they've been around : Their playstyle works really well against each other, but how is it going to hold up against other regions with their own playstyle. How well are they going to adapt?
This was done really well last year by EDG, and i think other CN teams are bound to get past that point really soon as well. Trace has some really solid understanding of the game and their coaching staff seems to know what they're doing. As well as their players being individually great, with some seriously impressive aimers.
Some people seem to think EDG fell off, but i think you should seriously keep an eye on Trace, these guys are all really good and have been scary for a hot minute, i can see them win it all in CN.
No one said it and i'm curious so, RRQ?
I think nongshim has a good shot at winning this honestly, I do hope for three maps either way.
Pro : Team looks pretty good so far this year
Con : Personal opinion, but i cannot stand boostio.
Pro : Expected nothing amazing, was pleasantly surprised, they look promising.
Con : I haven't seen enough of them yet to get a clear picture of where they stand against the rest of Pacific, so i can't give cons as of right now.
Pro : Meyi
Con : That roster is still relatively young, i think they haven't found their footing quite yet. We could see something better from them in the future.
Pro : Really good players
Con : They don't do well under pressure and seem to consistently lose their composure when they're close to winning.
I hope they will win something this year, i think they might benefit from working on their mental even more than working on their gameplay.
Pro : They are good at learning from their mistakes fast ( I.E MASSIVE loss against GEN G in madrid before playing them again in grand finals and winning)
Con : The fandom is insufferable (and slightly off topic, that new jersey is horrid)
i'll add that they do seem to be a little more disciplined than they used to be while keeping their style, i'm not sure that'll be enough but i have more hope than last year for PRX.
Kinda surprised no one mentionned chichoo yet
Since someone said Gen G already, EDG
I definitely have GENG winning champs, they look amazing this year. If anyone beats them imo it would be LEV, but i trust GENG to win it
the SEN vs 100T series is the only one i have doubts about, could really switch them up honestly. They're both inconsistent.
For some reason my pick'ems for americas are my best pickem's even though i find it to be the least entertaining region to watch.
https://www.vlr.gg/pickem/329356b1
What do we think of my playoff pick'ems?
You're literally the guy who said to kick him a few hours ago lmao
PRX or GENG bringing it home at champs
Edit : hopefully.
Chill, TS played better than we did this game. Deserved win.
