Lock//In Sao Paulo 2023
every team being at this event made it extremely hype plus first event in franchising. the format made it very interesting being single elim quite a few upsets happened. every team being at the event also caused a wide variety in match quality which was very entertaining you would get a match like nrg vs loud then liquid vs ts clownfest. great storylines with fnatic, 100t, and loud. the real reason i have this event over champs 2023 tho is the grand final most hype crowd we have seen in valorant a long with the best comeback to win the trophy i think it will take a long time to be topped. -
Champions 2023
highest level of play we have seen from any event, PRX upset in the grand final, loud redemption against all odds, BLG, group of death. some all time great storylines combined with a hype crowd and high level of play is a recipe for a great tourney. -
Masters Madrid 2024
resurgence of sentinels, GenG introduction, karmine corp redemption, paper rex monyet run quite a few memorable storylines, level of play was quite high here too besides a handful of maps played by the chinese teams. pretty hype crowd. banger matches like prx vs heretics and the 2nd best grand final we have seen. sucks that the format to get here was so shit it makes it a bit fraudulent. -
Masters Tokyo 2023
EG run + Fnatic dynasty are some of the best storylines we have seen so far. the prx sub run was super fun to watch and the infamous cove moment is one of the most hype or sad moments depending on who you were rooting for. level of play was at a near all time high only 1 tournament was higher imo. Navi vs EDG was such a hype match. biggest negative was the grand final was very boring to watch but still a great tourney. -
Masters Copenhagen 2022
emergence of chamber meta which was fun at first. great storylines with fpx, prx, guild etc. also the the original group of death in my eyes with a elimination game between optic and loud. probably the overall highest level of play we saw in 2022 still far from 2023 or 2024 but you dont see constant mistakes in every game. no crowd does hurt it but still a great event for the time and still one of the most hype grand finals we have seen. -
Champions 2022
height of the loud vs optic rivalry which ended up with loud getting revenge. pretty sure this was the first event with a crowd although i dont remember it being that hype. chamber meta was getting a bit redundant by this point. pretty mid storylines outside of optic vs loud. level of play had increased a lot since the start of the year but was still a lot lower then future tourneys. -
Masters Reykjavik 2022
fraudulent ass tourney right here the best team couldn't attend because of Russia Ukraine war but still the start of optic vs loud rivalry and the zeta run was cool to see since japan hadn't won a game on lan prior. still no crowd which sucked and the the level of play was better then 2021 but still low compared to future tourneys. -
Masters Berlin 2021
same thing as champs boring meta, low level of play, no crowd but at least the teams had good players and weren't all frauds like the other 2 events in 2021 and gambit had a good storyline. -
Champions 2021
peak of astra/viper meta which was the worst valorant meta to watch. most teams who were good earlier in the year had fallen off and acend winning is still the most fluke win we have seen in valorant. level of play here was also very low reyna having a decent pick rate tells you everything you need to know. also no crowd. -
Masters Reykjavik 2021
stone age era of valorant very low level of play. sentinels just firepower diffed everyone and there was no crowd very boring watch.
ill update after shanghai is done.
