what really happened to PRX

There is nothing wrong with an aggro style, but there IS a caveat that they seemed to have missed. In previous tournaments Paper Rex would play aggressively but back it up with good coordination and teamplay, which seems to be lacking recently. For example, against G2 there was multiple instances where someone just pushed out with no supporting util and gave away man advantage(also shown in their FK/FD ratio in that series). G2 were great at punishing reckless plays like this and that is a huge reason why they won.

prx was too quick to drop monyet for j0nggg. they fumbled hard

you only say that in hindsight. It was a great move on paper, and I'm not sure monyet would've stayed around too long on the bench when other teams want him

one thing i noticed is that whenever a prx player plays flash initiators, the do not pair the flashes well with pushes. other team have kayo lineups, or gekko flash when duelist pushes in. i dont see that coordination as much in prx

yeah, i noticed that when something pushes out of his smoke after the dash, theres no flash to follow it up. And f0rsaken basically only used his flashes for himself

think its cause they constantly swap around agents so don't have mastery over it. Like forsaken on initiators not flashing for the team sometimes on exec. Same thing with davai using that kj ult when it doesn't reach. Shows their lack of agent mastery and it really hurts them in the micro

Especially in this game too, there were a PLETHORA of rounds where 100T capitalize off of PRX's terrible spacing and coordination regarding utility and fights. Also, PRX got too aggressive and became incredibly readable by map 3, and that lack of ideas cost them the game even more than just throwing those rounds. Good stuff from 100T though. It wasn't their best showing but they had a clear understanding and read on PRX.

They need to get drilled man their post plants are terrible, how many man advantages did they lose in that icebox alone.

I spent the whole day today blaming PRX but it really isnt that bad if we think about it. Sure they placed the lowest they've placed in like 3-4 tourneys but they lost against 100T who look good and G2 who also look good. I think they just need a break and some time to go over their mistakes. They will proably look amazing at champs.

might just be the late replacement of Jinggg. Last year they had an entire season together so by champs their executes looked really good. Might just need some time to patch some problems and get the chemistry going again

If they want to play that kind of style you need way better and consistent form.

This team just seems fundamentally flawed from the start. Say you want to make a roster change. Who would you drop? What role would they take? Would they be an upgrade? Most people wouldn't even think about changing this team, and that's part of the problem. Same team, expect the same international placements. They're going to be either first or second in the Pacific, then other teams will eventually eliminate them. How about the coaching? Who would replace alecks? Is there even a proper way to coach whatever these guys do? Coaching can only do so much, but at the end of the day the players execute, and their own confidence gets ahead of them. Would you even want to risk changing this roster? They have been able to make so many international events because the Pacific teams can't reach the level of play they have, and their popularity, entertainment, and international placements gets them enough money to keep their operations going. Why change what's working?

Some massive facts were said here. Also, it's important to note that they have a massive fanbase that might be pissed off if their favorite player gets booted. I mean, we all saw what happened with DRX

They are braindead lil kids who keep over-heating all the time. They don't do that they win every trophy.

Basically, lack of prep. Jinggg just got back into the squad a week before Split 1 started.

Check out their map pool, agent comps, and set plays. It's pretty much the same from last year with a tiny twist, so enemy teams already know how to counter them.

Plus, their post-plant discipline this Masters has been awful. I get they're trying to make space since they rarely flank and their agents is not build for a post plant. But their execution is just terrible.

I agree with the second part, but I don't think lack of prep is fair.

PRX looked amazing in stage 1 and was basically agreed to be the best ITW during Stage 1. Why would they look good in Stage 1 and then completely fall apart in Shanghai? I don't think lack of prep counts.

I think the coordination was just so off this event, and you can't have that happening when you run #WGAMING
