apparently MIBR used franchise money to invest in counter strike rather than their valorant team
Yo creo que sí sacarán a mibr sería poner otro equipo de br o que en el ascenso suban 2 equipos en vez de 1
are they following the contract agreement? if they are, then riot should hire better lawyers to write them.
Imagine being a team, spending a lot of money and playing 2 games on feb, then 5 on april and another 6 on june. And that's it for the whole year. Riot deserves valorant to fail as long as they keep this pathetic schedule.
It is both, it has a lot of idle months, but at the same time teams have to play vct and after 1 week play a masters, if they win it, 1 week to another VCT. It is not surprising that the top4 kickoff teams didnt make to playoffs (beside loud).
Putting all the negatives that come with franchising aside, this is still a scummy thing to do, spending close to half of million to Furia for drop and saffee in CS, and giving 0 effort towards improving their VALORANT team should cause riot to take action, atleast orgs like C9 makes roster changes in order address results.
I'd argue that it's the org's money and they're allowed to do what they want with it (unless riot had them on a contract that said they had to spend the money on valorant) the real problem is that the T1 system means that even teams that put in no effort get to stay. If they wanna spend money on CS and that means their val team sucks thats fine, but maybe that should mean they get sent to T2 if they do nothing but lose
What’s the point of staying in the league if you’re just gonna use the money for other games? L Mibr
If riot specified in the contract that they couldn't use franchise money on other games then they are fucked, if didn't then 😬
