Americans use IMessage a lot, you know, the "blue bubble"? They don't use whatsapp, facebook messenger, telegram as we do in europe. Many americans hate messaging Android devices because it uses the "green bubble", aka SMS/MMS. Meanwhile, here in europe, half of my friends are on Android, half Iphone, well all comunicate between each other with Whatsapp.

Honestly idk why people say "androids are cheap". Maybe because there are androids that are budget as well. But when comparing androids with iphones, it's obviously going to be the high end flagships which are the same if not more expensive than the new iPhone.
I like the UI for android more, when someone shows me something on their iPhone I feel like I'm looking at something from 2010. Super outdated design

been an ios user before, i say switching to android w accessible features of sending or sharing something is more better than ios. but the only thing that I feel like makes me switch to iPhone is the UI of it, more easier for me? that's why I switched back to ios, and the camera is more realistic, unless u purchase a high quality android phone w good camera like Samsung. that's just all I'm saying. rn I'm so used to UI of iPhone it's really easy to use if u get used to it. what I just don't like is people upgrading always when there's new launch there's slightest of feature you will just get you know. i have iPhone 11, and I'm not gonna upgrade yet lol bc I'm just okay w it, but I have to say my sis android phone which is Samsung galaxy s24 ultra is way way better than iPhone especially on camera. like the shots on it is just insane like you don't need slr, and u can charge another phone wirelessly on top of it, many more features. but iPhone is just so good with social features that's just it, but for Bluetooth or other sharing? not accessible if most people use android phone.
