taking my SAT today, got a 980 on my first PSAT and a 1130 on my second wish me luck.
yeah it's typically out of 1600, 1130 is above average I think i def got above that.
avg sat score is between 1000 and 1100, so they did above average
i hate to break it to you guys but this is the equivalent of plat players saying that they're not low elo because they're above average
standardized tests mean your scores are compared to the bums in alabama that learn addition at 16 years old man its not something to be proud of
Y’all cant read that’s for the PSAT, which is scaled like 1400ish I think?
it's not a flex lmao, he's probably sad that he didnt get 1500s for an Ivy
my parents slandered me so hard for this shit which doesnt even matter cause im applying for UC schools
I never took the SAT sometimes I want to take it for fun, but good luck bro,.If you do bad just dont report it on your college apps.
Nope, its non required, if you do good its a great boost but if not just dont report it. I got into a great school in cali off of GPA and Extracurriculars (not that much tbh) alone.
wtf thats weird asf, public examination not required, isnt it all multiple choice?
I think so, again I've never taken it, but I think its all multiple choice and if I had to guess then some essay/written responses in the English portion of the test.
Same lmao, Im delusional and think I would 100% the English portion and like 90% the Math, but I know theres no shot I do
i think ill take it next year just in case i get really high and get ivy league, but i wil probably stay uk cus american school fee
Ye for international its rough, I think the school im at rn makes out of state (not even international) pay around double for tuition, which is absolutely mental. If you get into an ivy league theres a big shot they pay for your school tho if they really want you. I know that was a thing with Stanford (ik not ivy league) paying you if you got accepted.
i hope i will do well, but its not really a big deal since uk unis are really good asw (except housing, housing is incredibly shit)
if you are even remotely good in school the SAT should be extremely easy for you. i took it a few years ago but i remember there wasn’t a single question that was actually harder than any of my regular coursework
it was all shit i had learned by the time i finished 9th grade if even that
essay isn't currently a thing cause the test went digital, but its optional regardless
ngl i have no clue that was still a thing required. thought u didnt need to take it anymore
I had to stay overnight at hotels to take my SAT and ACT because all the other testing centers were full
