aspas has been at the peak of valorant nearing 2 years now, outclassing every other duelist. he's consistent (y0y), reliable (d0rke), and doesn't overheat (all of PRX).

I think TenZ is Valorant’s first GOAT no? he has won two Masters on two different roles
Aspas is definitely up there though
TenZ's wins are between a 2 year stretch, in which he frankly played horrible. imo that disqualifies him from the GOAT position for now, unless he can stay consistent for the next few tournaments
I mean Im measuring this by pure accomplishments not by consistency
when it comes to bouncing back from the lowest of lows to the best itw TenZ has done it
if its for consistency then no one is even close to aspas in the whole of Valorant
TenZ is a great player with a great story, but GOAT's are usually remembered by their consistency and not necessarily their accomplishments e.g. simple and the like

Tenz is more like a Father of Valorant (who created the hype for esports of game) or Fan Fav thing
as a sen hater, I actually agree. tend was the first goat, then yay 2nd and aspas 3rd. I think yay was the best for their respective time if you look at the stats, but aspas is more well rounded. tenz was just diffing ppl in the early stages of the game, now he's just a solid player

Idk why people are downvoting you. If you look at sports the GOAT is always the face of the sport. TenZ is undeniably the face of VALORANT and he has the achievements to back it up too.
I would like to compare this to chess, if you look at the face of chess most people would agree that Levy Rozman is the face of chess (most famous and youtuber) Is he the GOAT of chess? no.

are we talking like for their entire career or just their peak? if it's only their peak yay wins this no doubt. talking over a longer time frame though aspas wins bc yay is pretty bad rn and aspas has been crazy consistent on multiple teams
i probably wrote the original post wrong but yes i was talking about the long run, even to the end of val's lifespan. games like GO and league really only had their undisputed GOAT's emerge 5-6 years into the respective esport, and so i expect val to follow a similar path
I think in that case it's too early to tell. especially bc we had so many roster changes in this season where new players and teams might emerge. I think rn aspas would be the player you'd pick here but he's been consistently good for 2y which is often like the max time for someone's peak so if he keeps performing this season throughout then I'll agree

He was the second best player in 2022, top 5 player in 2023 with a MVP in americas, and today he's the best duelist in the world. He's consistent as fuck, the first player to stay at this level for so long. IDK about being GOAT but he's the best player ever in the game imo, not peak but overall
It's safe to say (not in order)
Aspas (has won champions, has been consistent for his entire career, always carries team, and dropped the record amount of kills on reigning masters winners)
Less (won champs, insanely consistent, backbone of LOUD, extremely consistent, not much more to say. its Less)
F0rsakeN (plays every role to highest degree, igls/calls when required, has clutch potential, and last 4 "S" tier placements were 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 1st. )
these players all have insane aim and brain
Valorant is TenZ and it's frankly not even close, but VCT is fs aspas and it's not even close.
He was better last year than in 2022. Now he is playing better than last year. What if he is not even reach in his peak yet???
