VCT Format

looking at the format again, Riot once again makes their playoff structure mean absolutely nothing. To qualify to Shanghai you just need to win Upper Semis or Lower Round 1. From then on in the Upper/Grand/Lower Finals the outcomes do not matter as they will contain the top 3 teams already.

are you not getting champ points for each win in play offs or was that only for kickoff?

how is this formatting bad it gives teams a chance to prove themselves without the bracket being something like a single elim bracket and shoving all 11 teams into one bracket just for them to qualify. plus top 3 of the playoffs has been a thing since the start of vct so idk why you are complaining about it and it also gives teams a lot of pressure to bring out what they are really capable of doing to qualify + winning it all will give teams a better chance at champs too

If a team decides to go out third, they basically lose 1 point to the 2nd place team and 3 points to the 1st place team. It's better to tryhard and get the points before split 2 so you can save more strats and have more prep time before champs.

In AM it's basically just wheather or not NRG can win masters AND the split to overtake Sen, but in all the other regions it's still likely that you can overtake your peak team for the free slot. I mean, KC lost today - Navi and Fut have a huge opportunity to overtake them.

Btw I'm saying this with the ideology that if a team has the free champs slot 100% locked up, they'll kinda stop caring about split 2 so they can be their peak for champs.
