currently, SEN has 6 points while every other Americas team has 0.
Now, there are still a few opportunities to get points: Stage 1 League Stage (1 point per win), Stage 1 Playoffs (3 points for winning), Masters Shanghai (3 points for winning), and Stage 2 League Stage (1 point per win).
The maximum points a team can get from here on out that is not SEN is 16 points (flawless 10 wins during both league stages, winning stage 1 playoffs, and winning Shanghai).
Theoretically, SEN need 10 more points to secure their spot in Champions. However, no team is going to fulfill all three of the aforementioned conditions AND on top of that not make top 3 of Stage 2. Therefore, although it is not mathematically proven, I believe SEN only need around 7 more points to secure their spot to Champions. This provides a buffer for a team going flawless during both league stages and winning Stage 1. Remember, the top 3 in Stage 2 make it to Champions anyways, so this is if SEN do not make top 3 in Stage 2. Considering how tight the competition is, I believe this reasoning to be fairly logically sound.
TLDR: SEN probs only need 7 more points to qualify for Champions at the end of the year.
Edit: it has come to my attention that you get points for playoffs wins too (kinda weird imo, but riot’s rules), so you can get 5 more points by winning some playoffs games for both Stage 1 and 2 without directly qualifying to Champions and not winning Stage 1 playoffs. So, if you’re not SEN you can get 21 points. My stance still remains pretty similar, however, with a small tweak. SEN need to make playoffs at least once to solidify themselves as a team playing in Champions.
