Thoughts on Clove?

looks way too op to me:

• self res (only 7 ult pts)
• huge smoke and can even smoke after dying
• whatever that orb is that just let u one shot enemies
• reyna overheal or whatever

going to make VCT interesting for sure, but there's no way in hell she doesn't get hit by a nerf an episode after release

self res is really not as op as you think

im glad its op instead of being shit, much more hype

only this is considered to be overpowered
but idk can't really judge based on the trailer alone, but on paper, yeah shes op

Smoke, I'd prefer astra or omen tbh.
That orb looks way too situational but can be paired up with other agent utilities
Reyna overheal looks good but not too op since trades happen instantaneously in pro games.

Overall: A controller who cannot stop a flood into the site by enemy. Also the smoke range can be a bit problematic on a solo controller map. But in ranked i feel she will be pretty good and fun to play. For pro play, we have to wait and watch ig.

The res only lasts for a period of time unless u get a kill or assisr
So for like some pro igls this would be bad

she is looks pretty balanced to me. if I'm honest she is an agent i don't think we will see a lot of in pro play tho or at least she wont be ''meta''

i'm gonna need to learn a new role, just being able to reyna shield and self ress its enouth to make this be instapicked so hard in soloq till its nerfed, for real competitive play, i can see teams that play 2 controlers puting her in the place of omen in a few maps

Idk I can't lie I don't see how they replace Omen, Astra or Brimstone on any of their meta maps. Omen's flash, TP for entries and one ways, Astra's suck and stun combos and universal smokes and Brimstone's molly, ult and 3 19 second smokes all seem way more broadly applicable than Clove's abilities. Feels like they were more so made to be a ranked agent that tries to encourage the brainlets who physically can't play any agent but Reyna to play smokes than to actually be competitive with the other controllers in a professional setting

they won’t replace single smokes and seem to only rly be able to be applicable on gimmick comps i doubt they get played a ton by people other than like Tenz. Pretty much just the synthesis of aggro controller which just kinda is a different play style than the role has seen before. Will be interesting for sure (not hype for soloq comp people to indtalock them and never smoke and just treat it like a shit reyna)
