Prejudice against Cryo?

im an open minded thinker escaping the matrix everyday and smth that I just noticed that I also took part in was the absolute belief that Zekken > Cryo even though Cryo is statistically brings the same shit Zekken does. Is it because Cryo was better last year on Chamber so now we think hes washed?

to be honest i think his flexibility as a player is actually pretty underrated. the man can literally play any agent, with more experience he’d probably be on the same level as other top tier flex players like chronicle and forsaken

100ts had a roster with Will that did pretty damn well at champs in 22. The addition of cryo seemed to make them worse. Is that actually what happened probably not. What people see is that the team seemed better without him.

Removal of Sean is what sealed them

I think the edge that zekken has over Cryo is his flexibility.
Zekken has the ability to play multiple agent roles, team roles and a deeper agent pool, which he has shown throughout his career already.
That edge was shown in full display during americas last year where we would often see an awkward cryo raze map etc.

ngl ive seen this argument being thrown around a lot but he had way higher FKs and FDs than Zekken during the Americas League, idk what goes down in 100T matches since I didn't really watch a lot of them but if this guy doesnt entry alot yet has way higher stats like that then someone who plays Raze then idk whats going on

from what I saw, 100T's playstyle just leaned more on a slow default last year. if the team wanted him to enter he obviously would, he can't just go "coach no I'm not entering" 💀

Maybe they would've played faster if he "could"
Any team plays around their players strengths and hard entry isn't cryos strength
They literally play a lot of pace changes when Asuna is on raze so that proves the point

He was really good but I think he stopped being good after he lost the rank demon in him. Maybe he got complacent since he joined a big org. Who knows. If he sucks again this VCT then I'll believe that he's fully washed.

but he didn't suck last year, wasn't as great as 2022 but that doesn't mean it sucked lol

He op peeks.

FK / FD doesn’t necessarily mean you’re playing entry.

Pretty sure yay had higher fk than Victor but Victor was the entry.

Cryo brings a lot of value by being a top tier op.
Zekken plays more of an entry style / Rifler

The best teams have both. That’s why xset was good when they both played on it.

Edit: this was supposed to be a reply to #10

I’d say Zekken and Cryo are both fantastic is their own ways. However, I think Zekken is a lot better suited for most teams for a few reasons. For one, although Cryo is arguably a better Jett player and oper than Zekken, the fact that Zekken is able to play Jett and Raze (with his Raze being at least top 3 in NA), he just adds a lot more value due to the flexibility. This ties to the second reason which is just pure flexibility beyond duelists. Zekken has a large agent pool making him incredibly valuable when metas shift. I think Cryo has a lot more to prove in this regard.

it's mostly just sen fans being stupid as usual and acting like their players are the second coming of jesus. I'd say zekken is better in terms flexibility but cryo is a better jett/chamber and oper. (oh the guy above me basically said the same thing 🗿)

cryo cannot play raze for shit. zekken is just as good on jett as cryo, so it’s kind of easy argument to say zekken is by far a better overall duelist. zekken doesn’t play chamber so his performance on that doesn’t apply.

cryo's playstyle is significantly less team oriented than zekken (he's more passive and therefore demands more resources while also not taking as much space for his team to play off of)

cryo would need to have better stats than zekken for him to be an equally impactful player, which doesn't mean his style is "bad" or "wrong", it just isn't a solution to 100t's issues at the moment which is an overall lack of aggression and decisiveness. chamber fit cryo incredibly well because it allows him to leverage his incredible mechanics and oping without the additional burden of playing as a hard entry the way a duelist agent does.
