So everyone thinks its Zellsis vs Pancada but its not. It's actually Tenz vs Pancada.
If you look at all the off-season matches, Zellsis played a lot of Viper and Breach. Tenz played Yoru, Omen, and KayO.
Yes Pancada can obviously play Viper but as of right now SEN won consistently with Zellsis.
On the other hand, if you see the small switch up on Sunset, Zellsis went from Omen first to playing Breach. So guess who they moved to Omen? Tenz.
Tenz plays Omen now on Sunset, Haven, Split too I think? I forget. So basically Zellsis is cleared, and its a matter of who will main Omen.
Tenz or Pancada.
You guys can look into SEN match histories on your own. Zellsis + Johnqt are going to be the saving grace for SEN.

My personal unbias opinion: Zellsis + Pancada would be stronger for SEN as compared to Zellsis + Tenz OR Pancada + Tenz.
Pancada's Omen clearly > Tenz Omen but you know the wonder star boy Tenz gots to play, so SEN will eventually lose later as always lmfao.

Tenz didn't do so bad in some matches with omen on certain maps though, but against better teams like Fnatic/NRG/etc.. you'd want Pancada on Omen whos more reliable over Tenz risky/inexperienced Omen if SEN actually really wants to win another Major. Just common sense.

eg won major with jawg on omen, why is it so hard for people to understand that tenz is being told to play an aggressive omen coz other than zekken and tenz there is nobody else who is aggressive enough to take risks and space (which they were missing in early 2023 because the whole team was being passive)

EG was diff bro... SEN don't have Demon1 and Ethan lmfao. And Jawgemo is the Best Raze In The World too.
Tenz can play an agressive omen but against an amazing team he will fall short is what I'm saying. May not be true but I'm also down to find out.

recency bias, u wouldnt have had demon1 or ethan on ur top 50 if it wasnt for the 2nd half of 2023 and also u just cant see the full picture here, tenz is playing a specific role that cannot be filled by either pancada or zellsis

also wdym by better teams, tenz did very good against prx who are quite literally top 3 in the world interms of firepower and also shit on drx with their actual roster which went far in champs and have been consistently good, fnatic or eg arent THAT ahead when u look it at from a firepower perspective. Fnc and eg are just ahead interms of strats and team play and cohesion between players

tenz + pancada is the only way to go and they can switch to zellsis if things go awry but people want zellsis idk man

Its cuz SEN needs Zellsis. Great mid-round caller and boosts the teams mentality and energy. Hes also a decent flex player as well. I'm sure if they didnt win SEN Invitationals and Afreeca, Pancada would be playing over Zellsis.

Yes it is an assumption. And yes, Kaplan decided ultimately to let Zellsis play over Pancada. Thats the system they went with and it worked.

after figuring out team roles and building chemistry and months of practice and working very hard for it and winning an off season tournament with world class teams in it (which doesn't matter) to show that they are grinding instead of continuing practice to strengthen their map pool and fixing their issues they should throw all that away and make a roster change and start all over again if they don't do that how can they call themselves sentinels

The thing about zellsis is he just brings a lot to the team in terms of vibes and comms. It's really hard to replace that level of energy and communication.

As for TenZ, people really hate to admit it be he's a really good player. Sure, pancada is really good on smokes, but I think TenZ is more than capable of playing smokes at a high enough level. TenZ is just one of those players you'd never really bench. He's too good of a player with too much too popularity to bench.

It sucks for pancada, but teams are going to make the decisions that will help them win. Tbh though, all of SENs players are good enough to the point where any 5 of the 6 players could make a good team.

people are also forgetting that tenz brings a risktaking factor into the game that single handedly wins then several rounds and even tho he had very less experience his understanding of rotations and when to take timings were really good, there were even rounds where it looked like he made calls for rotation and pancada's omen is very anchory and holding space type but the whole point of having tenz on omen is to create space alongside zekken, this was the same idea that ange1 had on navi and what eg were doing with jawg. Sen were too passive this entire season and now they have finally figured out that giving tenz and zekken freedom albeit on diff roles is just the best thing to do
