I dont think teams got worse over the year. Teams definitely got better at macro. EG’s set plays wouldve dominated 2022 and Loud’s innovation wouldve too. Not to mention FNC firepower is probably the highest we’ve ever seen maybe apart og loud and fnc had a better coach and more innovation than the 2022 loud iteration. Obviously 2022 is not fraud for being earlier into the span of the game i just think people sometimes don't take into perspective how differently the game was played in 2022 compared to the end of 2023.

all vct seasons are made for winning champs, nobody should care if you win 2 masters, you need to be in the best form in champs

and fraudnatic got hard exposed by champs winner, they are really tiny
Loud and EG arguably weren't the best teams on the year but they were the best at those tournaments. ACE is the only fluke run. Would never win anything in literally any other meta.
I think the distinction of champs "counting more" than the other masters in terms of skill is stupid even thought I get it's supposed to build hype all the teams are trying their best at all of these. FNC 2023 > EG 2023 but EG champs 2023 > FNC champs 2023.

Not even, Fnatic has only lost to LOUD and TL in 2023. LOUD is FNC's Kryptonite, unlucky for FNC they played against em twice in Champs. FNC champs would beat EG champs, but not LOUD champs.

And thats the point. Each champs has is different and has a different meta. We saw with Optic 2022 and the chamber meta, Yay was undisputably the best Chamber player. But when Chamber meta fell off, so did he.
