it's obvious that it would make more sense, either Spanish or Portuguese, (or "portunhol"). but we know how it works, it's always the gringo who needs to stay in the comfort zone.

Fer is the one choosing Tex and changing him roles, if he cant speak spanish and yet he got picked the it's Lev's problem, not Tex.

I didn't blame him, I just said a fact. and the fact is that it is always the gringo who needs to stay in the comfort zone... do you know of any cases where a gringo learned Spanish/Portuguese to play for a South American team? I'm really curious.

He would learn precisely because he was going to a Spanish/portuguese speaking roster. Just like Pancada, he didn't know how to speak English, but he knew he would be on an English speaking roster, so he learned.

has to be English, feels like just a bad idea. Portuguese and Spanish isn't super alike, but being Mexican, there's this weird connection between latinos thats is hard to describe, even if you can understand each other perfectly. The Spanish would have been a lot easier to make work IMO then now a whole core having to speak English because of 1 player
