He has been in the fps category for basically forever where he’s known from cs and then eventually pubg. He wasn’t terrible in cs but definitely not one of the best in the world like many make it sound like. He was very good tho. He probably peaked in pubg as he had so many insane clips and stuff and was just one of the best players in the game but then had to give it up due to hackers and the game dying. He then did well in a tournament for apex legends and then after moved to Valorant. He’s basically been a good streamer for the most part due to his clips. After he started streaming he just never turned back
Cause he’s been relevant in almost all major fps titles and has played at a high level in all of them. It’s probably more of a quantity over pure quality type thing
People don't consider him the goat of pro fps, thats s1mple. They consider him the goat of streaming fps. Hes basically just good at literally every fps game and thats why people like him because he will play a game they like and he'll be good at it.
i mean to be fair, at the time that he played cs, he was seen as like THE north american prodigy kid but compared to what other players from NA did like stewie (and the rest of the 2018 c9 roster/2019 liquid roster) or twistzz he can't compare anymore
after yes, you can find interviews of stewie looking up to shroud and him saying that he was taught a lot by him when they were on the same roster for that short time, so although shroud comparatively isn't as good as most people make it out to be, he did have an impact

also he is known to be able to pick up any fps and become very good at it quickly.
