And overall the worst year for valorant ever
Franchising sucks
someone’s mad
I thought this champs was great and had some really exciting games. The song was good too.
Champs itself was exciting
Finals kinda was wack
Franchising also sucks
2/3 decent take
This event was good, not the final I wanted but thats subjective. Franchising is so bad, I really hate it.
more like best or atleast very good, wonderful diversity of teams. Ones you thought would make playoffs didn't and others did. Everyone thought FNC would walk all over every one. And thought Loud was still crumbling. Loud proved they could still play. The giants of FNC were proven to be human, and cindarella story of EG vs the loveable guys of PRX and the story of Jinggg. It was really good, and had a lot of good moments and matches. Not to mention We were graced by King KANG KANG who will be back for sure along with EDG.
2022 was the best champions for me until Brazil win another event but 2023 one was good. The top 4 was stacked af and we had a lot of good games. Franchising sucks i agree
terrible take
riot did such a good job
they dont get enough credit for this shi
This was the best champs no? (Unless you're emea, rip) Riot script writers were working overtime with this one. From jing final tourney and prx with something, to loud getting their revenge on fnatic (unbeaten all year round, then loses to loud twice in same tourney), to eg's run that'll be in history (assistant coach eliminating 100Frauds, bcj getting dropped), best valorant tourney in terms of storylines.
just didn’t hit the same no underdog runs no real super teams and the storylines were mid maybe this was better then 2021 champs but it’s close
hard disagree
sure franchising has flaws but this champs overall had amazing games and incredible narratives and also incredible production
I think this Champs was really good, the cinderlla story of EG was fun, wondering if FNC would sweep the year, PRX and Jingggs final run, I just wish the finals was closer, but still better than last years.
you have to remember, we dont have gambling sites to sponsor the games like csgo. We need some stability and franchising was right. Even CS has partnered teams which is similar to franchised teams who get invited to tourneys. They're scrapping it for CS2 next year but even they use it because it works to establish stability.
not the best year overall because franchising is new, per region its kinda the same expected teams who made it far like no chance for the underdogs. but production wise its the best, still made good narratives out of it.
Lock/in was fun, sure its a shitty tournament but no other tournament came close to the hype it had, people just dislike it because of FNC but that final was incredible, derke and aspas at their peak, pacific looked much stronger with talon and TS acc doing great. Tokyo was already great, cgrs was an incredible player, fnc dominance and eg really kicking in their bm plus great crowd and production. Champs had fantastic production, games were a bit weaker in the uppers but the lowers were pretty good towards the end, loved seeing drx and loud being back to their best, whereas fnc stumbled and prx and eg killed it; final was a tad bit underwhelming (would have liked a game 5) but overall the last day production with streamers went crazy
the storylines were fire and all the matches were good, just sad to see jing go.
