id say navi off the fact that their expectations should be far higher than NRGs, they were looking like easily one of the greatest teams heading into franchising but after lock in they just never performed anywhere near up to expectations.
NRG on the otherhand lost their 2 best players, they added som and ardis but now that weve seen their skill levels clearly ardiis at least isnt what yay was for optic

honestly the moment BLG do that id be fucking ecstatic. Mfs are treating this team as if theyre crazy racoons from 2021. They genuinely are really good and have a playstyle no one else in the game currently is playing with. There was a reason X10 beat NV and why BLG beat NRG cleanly and it isnt luck

youre just as blind as everyone on NRG if you really think that BLG is such a weak team to the point that it was an embarrassment for NRG to lose to them and not the fact that NRG never even tried to understand their playstyle and counter it

NAVI had close games and won some, they are going back to FPX form

NRG Is loosing the juice, Ardiis is a double agent.

NRG’s whole gimmick is their anti-stratting, losing to BLG from lack of VODs is okay

BUT GETTING 2-0d twice On-The-Go same tournament phase???

NaVi played better at lock in and champions
NRG only played better in tokyo and they still lost to a team with a substitute
If we count regional leagues maybe NRG was better but idk

the fact that NRG even made 4th place this year and decent in lock in is already enough to cement them above expectations. They even got second in Americas (tho tbf every team crumbled towards the end of the season).
Navi on the otherhand were looking like they were one of the greatest franchising teams heading into it and that theyd easily make deep runs in all the tournaments and potentially challenge FNC. Navis expectations were sky high and all they did was beat KRU, TS, a broken Lev, and lost 3-0 to FNC.
By far Navi were the more disappointing team this year and they werent exactly worse but had much worse placements than NRG

Year as a whole NRG looked better with deeper run into Tokyo.
Just looking at Champs, NAVI as a team looked better (when ange0 wasnt griefing).
Going 0-4 on maps to the same team that you claim to be much better than is kind of disastrous

The simple fact that NRG kicked Navi out in Tokyo + Navi was carried to international LANs thanks to Fnatic answers your question. NRG mightve had 2 bad games but they were still Top 4 in Tokyo
