allowed to dring redbull on scene but not allowed to snus only because of partnership contract xd
bhahahaha, energy drinks are safer than nicotine pouches?? They are literally cancer juice with multiple cancer causing ingredients and are extremely unhealthy, the guy who drinks redbull everyday will probably have more health issues than the guy who uses snus, they should not be treated any more lightly than nicotine, idek how they have infiltrated so many industries and how companies advertise them, but fc all the energy drink addicted "gamers" dont wanna hear this haha
Of course nicotine is overall a bit more dangerous than caffeine, but they're both legal, so why does Rito draw a line between them, when their performance enhancing effects are very comparable?
Also it's not like I'm saying coffee is as detrimental to health than snus, but redbull definitely is, there are plenty of negative effects on health that come with regular energy drink consumption, yet Riot actively promotes them while Banning snus, which feels a bit weird.
theres no arguing if you can't understand nicotine is far more addictive, more dangerous to every part of your body.
Caffeine is literally included in several workout supplements in healthy doses but supposedly nicotine is only a "bit" more dangerous.
nicotine is for losers and bums and you are one if you justify the use of it lol
I don't think caffeine is as severe as nicotine, of course not. I just don't see the justification for banning one while actively promoting the other.
In terms of performance enhancing effects for esports, they're comparable, or are they not?
And in terms of health, clearly nicotine in isolation is much worse than caffeine in isolation. But we're not talking about coffee here, we're talking about energy drinks, which have a variety of negative health impacts that differ from the effects of nicotine, but I would argue are comparable in severity.
I haven't read the literature on this in a few years so I might be wrong, but I also think my point just came across wrong.
I just don't see the justification for banning one while actively promoting the other.
Caffeine is not nearly as addictive as nicotine and has no real health risks. Simple as that.
What negative health impacts are you seeing from energy drinks? The primary energy ingredients of redbull are caffeine and taurine. Caffeine is one of the most extensively studied supplements in the entire world. The risks and benefits have been validated thousands of times in various studies. Taurine has been studied (albeit less than caffeine) and shown to be safe when used in moderation.
I do not doubt that nicotine has performance enhancing effects for esports. That can be true for almost any supplement. But the point it sounds like you're making is that players should be allowed to do anything on stage. which they shouldn't. Adderall is widely used among esports competitors, would you be okay with players using it on stage?
Also, consumption of nicotine isn't banned. Consumption while on stage is. He could have used this between maps, but he chose to do this knowing the rules: https://twitter.com/d00mbr0s/status/1688623687615049728?s=20
