after seeing eu valorant maybe indian valorant is better then eu kekw
Haha jokes aside, honestly with what VS has shown (and hopefully what Paper Rex will show) it's time Riot picks up the slack with support for other regions. They've shown regions outside of NA and EU are truly competitive in this game.
We need more than 3rd party externally organized tournaments outside of the existing regions! You can't just give a single Last Chance Qualifier slot to the entire South Asia (including countries like India in OPs post!) and patch it up with a bandaid anymore!
If one of the best Asian teams is as good (if not better) then one of the best EMEA teams there's just no excuse.
You saw forsaken, you saw Paper Rex. Remember that Paper Rex got closer to VS than Acend did and Bren 3-0ed Paper Rex and are the better team. X10 is not even playing in this tournament.
GE has beaten Bren multiple times recently in scrims with a ping disadvantage. Also, GE has some really experienced LAN guys playing since CS1.6 to SkRossi who was the dark horse in Indian CS around 2018.
SkRossi and his team is not much behind SEA. Almost 90-80%. I won't have my hopes high as GE will probably not even reach the finals but from what we are seeing in this tournament, these Jetts from smaller regions are really proving themselves. Anything can happen.
The thing is you haven't even seen him play yet. Why judge so quick?
(This post is really optimistic for GE I do know that guys, but just let them play internationally first.)
The only part of your comment I remotely agree with is that as long as I haven't seen him play, technically anything can happen.
But trying to use the Paper Rex matchup to even slightly imply that there isn't an enormous gap between VS and PRX is really disingenous for multiple reasons everyone has already discussed.
it's EXTREMELY optimistic to look at f0rsakens performance against a VS that clearly was both not trying, and saving strategies that another jett would be able to repeat his performance.
Here is why you think that VS was not trying against PRX.
You just don't watch SEA or Korean Valorant enough.
You are just used to EU or NA valorant. Where people communicate to the team before taking an action. In SEA it's the opposite. Actions are taken by duelists first and then the team tries to adopt.
As such, there is a lag between information transfer between both teams and these teams look unorganized. That you "see" as VS not even trying is just VS trying to cope with Paper Rex taking very quick decisions that even their teams cannot process fast enough.
If you have a Jett like forsaken or Patiphan who is just mechanically "built differently", you generally manage to secure an advantageous position while both the teams are confused. By the time both the teams have recovered and reset, Paper Rex/Other SEA teams are already at an advantage.
It's a different style of playing valorant which I do not expect an EU/NA/KR-only viewer to understand.
Secondly, VS technically cannot even save strats against Paper Rex? Dude, Paper Rex and VS scrim each other very often. GE and other teams also scrim Paper Rex very often. How do you even save strats against teams that you scrim daily? You have gotta test those strats against them at least once right?
so much of your comment is complete trash obfuscated by you trying to pretty up the language that i'm only gonna address one part

the VS team literally employed 10x the strategies, set executes, and coordinated ability chains against Acend than they did against PRX.
It's factually known (from Benkei) that VS consistently DESTROY PRX in scrims, they literally go 24-0. Why would a team that literally shits on PRX every single time they scrim feel the need to use the strategies they prepared for Berlin against better teams?
Tell me this. If you're dunking on a team every scrim, you have no takeaway from them other than "just keep killing them, it works"
But the team losing the scrims can learn why what they do doesn't work, what the other team does that beats them, and things they can try to counter it. The team losing scrims will always be infinitely more prepared for the official match when it comes.
VS went into that PRX game literally PUGGING it. they didn't use a SINGLE set execute they did against Acend, EVEN TNL.
I can't tell if you're being intentionally obtuse or you just want to so desperately believe that these minor region teams that have never proven themselves, never accomplished anything in a respectable esport have a chance of surprising accomplished teams. Get a grip of reality, they can improve over time, but you're literally overdosing on hopium.
LMFAO, despite all that Benkai said in the interview you seriously think what Benkai says is true? Benkai just said it so that he could pass that "I broke VS's wrist" joke, if you seriously thought VS 24-0's PRX, you got baited hard and trolled by Benkai.
You are living in a cave, my man. Touch some grass.
Once again, you just don't watch SEA games if you think that's pugging. Do you know what's a good execution against teams like PRX? What k1ng did inside the Viper's pit on A-side on Icebox. It happens so fast, you cannot even comprehend it. VS uses strats all the time but you only get to see them when you have time to analyze what happens and the cameras can actually follow what happened.
If that's pugging for you, sure. I don't need to prove anything here. the entirety of EU is still trying to understand how Acend lost. While I am trying to put a point forward to VS and SEA teams. I don't even need to though since I think they have done enough.
If you are still in the copium that PRX is a weak team, I just don't know what to tell you man.
Even if SEA was a really weak team (even worse than JP) there is no way you can win against a pro team unless you use strats. Especially when they have a star jett like forsaken and you are not the best known team for mechanics.
brother no team is doing things "so fast they cannot be comprehended" get a grip. you clearly can't recognize your bias for minor regions and are obsessively willing to defend them to no end when you can just wait for them to prove themselves. they don't want fans like you trying to justify that they can compete with the big dogs, they just want to show it.
Also BTW, I know that GE won't win LCQ.
But you thinking that the game will always remain between NA and EU is just dumb.
I have been watching all these regions and seeing what they are capable of.
I was supporting forsaken even before he played internationally cause you can just see the talent.
If you are still willing to blind yourself to new and upcoming players around the world, you just get what is happening to EU right now.
you're trying to strawman my argument when i never said anything like that :)
i love underdog stories and will always cheer them on when it comes to the big stage
but some people reach a point of optimism where it might as well be called delusion. a powerhouse region like brazil will need another 2 years to make a mark on the world stage. regions that are even less relevant will need upwards of 3-4. pretending like they will make an impact this year, this circuit is actually just setting yourself for disappointment.
Exactly which part of my argument would you call delusional?
1) I expect GE to get 4-5 positions in LCQ but SkRossi to prove his jett skills regardless.
2) A small region like Korea can produce pretty good teams like VS.
3) A large region like SEA's seed no. 2 went toe to toe against VS. Arguably one of the top 3 teams in the world. Results are results and you see them. forsaken also proved with his high ACS against VS that he was not a guy that was just "farming t3 regions" but a genuinely talented player.
You are the one who thinks that VS was "not trying" and "pugging" and "saving strats".
Secondly, you believed a troll statement made buy a troll guy that VS 24-0's PRX. Who needs some fact-checking here?
Dude, maybe you save strats in playoffs in your region. Once you are in Berlin you are on the international stage and clearly, VS was not very comfortable in the win against PRX.
