COMMUNICATE
After several internal meetings and, given the information we have so far, Oddik has decided to end activities involving Valorant in the organization.
This decision was taken due to the weak calendar for the 2023 season, with the year ending in June and the promises to keep the scene warm with championships from other organizers not materializing, in addition to low audience numbers and some questionable decisions such as for example, the lack of some allowance so that teams could attend the studios on game days and the lack of information regarding the calendar for the 2024 season; among other reasons that will not be revealed here and that strained the relationship between organization and developer.
It was a difficult resolution, but we believe it is the best path for the organization's next steps. With the departure of Valorant, Oddik will invest even more in CS:GO and will be attentive to opportunities to enter new sports.
If Riot Games goes back on some decisions and presents a strong and attractive calendar not only for organizations but also for the public, Oddik will certainly reassess this decision and study a return to the modality.
With the option to leave the competitive environment of Valorant, Oddik sees no other option but to pause the ODKASA project, which is completely focused on creating content and, in this way, Oddik's streamers will also have their contracts terminated.
ODDIK will continue with the contracts for the inclusive and mixed lines until the end of the competitions to come (GameChangers and EliteCup) and then decide which paths to follow with the players.
