Thank you Riot, our tiny orgs are dying in tier 2. Now that there are no tournaments there is no need to have teams.

Not only NA tier 2 have an easier route for being able to train with the franchise teams, the lack of tournaments simply means that there is no need for the orgs to keep paying players.

My players doesn't have an org, doesn't have tournaments, and doesn't even receive paychecks. But it's ok, Riot sure is getting a big load of money with this shitty sistem.

After several internal meetings and, given the information we have so far, Oddik has decided to end activities involving Valorant in the organization.

This decision was taken due to the weak calendar for the 2023 season, with the year ending in June and the promises to keep the scene warm with championships from other organizers not materializing, in addition to low audience numbers and some questionable decisions such as for example, the lack of some allowance so that teams could attend the studios on game days and the lack of information regarding the calendar for the 2024 season; among other reasons that will not be revealed here and that strained the relationship between organization and developer.

It was a difficult resolution, but we believe it is the best path for the organization's next steps. With the departure of Valorant, Oddik will invest even more in CS:GO and will be attentive to opportunities to enter new sports.

If Riot Games goes back on some decisions and presents a strong and attractive calendar not only for organizations but also for the public, Oddik will certainly reassess this decision and study a return to the modality.

With the option to leave the competitive environment of Valorant, Oddik sees no other option but to pause the ODKASA project, which is completely focused on creating content and, in this way, Oddik's streamers will also have their contracts terminated.

ODDIK will continue with the contracts for the inclusive and mixed lines until the end of the competitions to come (GameChangers and EliteCup) and then decide which paths to follow with the players.

riot is absolutely botching valorants entire professional scene. I expected WAY more. even franchising is a clown show and riots broadcast production is embarrassingly bad.

Having a 6 month off season is the problem, not franchising. If it was franchising they wouldn’t be there in the first place

All orgs left last year too, most of them are gonna rebuild and even if you aren’t there is no point in paying for a team 6 month when there’s no competition. Riot needs to either add a third split and push all back or add MAJOR off season tournaments for all tiers and regions

should be no more than 3 weeks between tournaments aside from a yearly playerbreak

nah franchised allows for continuity and stability, it's the first year. Riot knows how to handle esports scenes better than 14 year old pretend economists on VLR. League is the best Esports scene for a reason lol, not every single team is gonna be able to profit in esports, but none do and thats not on riot or franchising rather just a short stall for growth in esports overall. Every team has money issues franchised or not.

Fellas out here really expecting riot to give out lots of money to 150 teams in the challenger leagues LOL

Btw I GUARANTEE that when riot announce next year's season most orgs that left are coming back

"League is the best Esports scene for a reason"

this nullifies your entire argument. CS is the best esports scene and it's not even close.

Leo Faria said next year tier 2 scene will be managed more heavily. I feel like this reasoning is because they want to treat ALL tier 2 scene the same way, in terms of slot distribution and for better continental teams Ascension play (LAN visa between countries). He did say for some countries to fly to America, could take 6 months of visa application to play in tournament, so long term fixture planning is needed for countries who have VISA problems.

You can have a favorite but league is the best ran esports scene, by far. CS may be more entertaining but League is the most sustainable and profitable for all parties involved.

are you an idiot? CS is more viral due to western countries playing it BUT everyone plays league, the hype/prize pool/viewer count shatter other esports. its not even close. I like CS more than val too but league is on a whole new level, lil bro.

Doesn't dota have the highest price pools? Not saying that makes them the best esports league either lol. If we are talking viewer count, my guess is that cs has more viewers per year just because of how many major tournaments it has.

CS and League have the same problem for me, they are both dominated by single regions that I don't really care that much about. Not that it's their fault, but watching EU teams dominate CS year after year is boring. Same with league, but Asia instead.

I don't even play that much val. But it's my fav esport because I think it does the best at having truly international tournaments that always keep you guessing
