anyway, i dont really want to get into it, but in my opinion this was not a timing issue, it was more a stupid play by EG. Let me explain, eco round, A-site wanted to push with 3 man, EG smoked the entrance from A-lobby to T and held edge. Now there are 3 options that fnc could have done, fallback and continue to hold the entrance on a-main to a-lobby, wait for smoke to fade to push T-spawn or fnc pushed the smoke and went in blind and probably would have been taken out 1by1. Now on the analyst side you would rather expect them to wait until the smoke faded or hold A-main, as a pro play you have to expect both.

And now we come to the timing issue so many talk about, imagine you were fnatic, waited for the smoke to fade, shifted ahead, cleared A lobby and did a double peek at T-spawn, there is a predetermined path you take to clear the A-lobby angles, you know as a pro player how long it takes from an edge of smoke to shifted to clear and then be visible to the t-spawn.
But apparently EG thought its better to take the spike in hand as soon as the smoke is faded for 1 sec, look for the 4 button to equip it, look at your team m8, shift to him for like 2 sec to be very close and then look for the g button to drop the spike. He didn't wait for the time window in which fnatic could have peeked, but already gave up his safe position to gently push the spike into someone's hands and (unfortunately KEK) even blocks the field of view of his teamm8.

They do put themselves I lots of situations where smoke kills do get easier by util usage or positioning...they just do a good job at clearing the rat corners with util and then spray some offangles based on the tape they watch....if you have boostio/c0m pushing every second smoke they will spam that shit if they do their homework
