I'm not saying Na shouldn't have lost to them, I'm saying the format was a fucking joke and nobody should take the results of this tournament seriously.
I mean seeing it practically....stakes are higher in a single elim tournament...as every team has to bring in their A game and they can't afford to loose a single match...but yeah that makes no legendary comebacks possible as you are sent home after 1 bad match.
I would say the Finals wasn't a bad match tho...both teams brought their A game and the better team that day won but it sure as hell was super close
Right so I guess because champions 2021 and Master 2 were single elim we should just ignore those aswell.
Just admit you devalue it because a team you don’t like won the tournament.
At those tournaments there was a groups stage and the 1st and 2nd seed from Na and emea qualified to playoffs.
At lock in they invited everyone, had completely random matchups, AND didn't even have a lower bracket to compensate
4 of the 5 teams were also bullied eg got beat by talon meanwhile even combining the round scores of sen and 100t they only got 24 less than half of fnatics rounds against them and c9 despite taking a map we’re destroyed and abused in the last 2 maps
What kind of argument is this?? 4 emea teams went out first round and 4 on second round. Tbh even navi could have gotten eliminated early if they didn't face kru and ts

EMEA still has 4 vct Tournament wins, while Americas have 3. Emea still on top.

Fnatic got a lucky run. SEN, Furia, and 100t finished with losing records in NA, NAVI turned out to be mediocre, and LOUD blew an 11-3 lead. Not saying that fnatic is bad or doesn't deserve the trophy, but that's not a good comparison.
LOUD beat Fnatic on the final 2 maps by 4/5 rounds. They weren't losing those to fnatic. LOUD literally needed to win 2 rounds out 9 to win and choked.
