Yes and no, I believe is extremely common here in Spain. But our college is not nearly as expensive as you guys, so that's a different kind of pressure I imagine
5th years are normal. but also, i think most people could finish a bachelors in 3 years with some hs credit. especially if universities didn't have dumb, money-stealing core curriculums

Although keep in mind that US colleges are mad pricey
dont sweat it bro. dont worry about whats normal and whats not. as long as you're happy with yourself.
