these "tactics" are developed by the coaching staff and players. More praise should be given to the players for near-perfect execution of these strats (+spontaneous decisions when needed) and then the coaching staff for its development.
also can we PLS stop going around calling everyone who criticizes Potter sexist that shit is so fucking cringe man
the thing is: what else should potter do to be recognized? eg DESTROYED nrg and c9, of course you need to give credits to the players, but behind them you have the coaching staff, that must have trained a lot to get to this point. its very clear the chemistry between Potter and players or do you think that any other coach would have done what she did?
she's a good coach. that's it. there are no top 5 or top 10 coaches. There's no way to rank or rate them properly. there are just good ones and bad ones. occasionally there are coaches with exceptional records leading multiple rosters(chet, mCe) and only those can be called the best. the rest are just either good or bad.
i understand your point, but talking about this season of americas, emea and pacific, you can rank them imo
for example:
fnatic coach: top1, didnt lose yet, make it to masters and champ
loud coach: 1 loss, make it to masters and champ
drx coach: make it to masters and champ, 2 losses
eg coach: unstable regular season, but in the most important moment, defeated top 2 and top 3
not saying that this is the right rank, just explaining my point
Sounds like you're underrating the players on EG a little bit
They looked cohesive, but there was some absolute heroics going on at the same time
I think the only way you can make argument for top 5 rn is because they looked more prepared than NRG and Chet, BUT Chet/FNS team has been known to drop series domestically since forever so its tough
Let them make top 4 at Masters and she can be #1
C9 stocks way overinflated, someone used media to fool everyone into thinking theyre better than they are. Only good players are Xeppa and leaf, and idt its enough.
LOUD and NRG are definitely better on paper. If they beat LOUD then idk, but idt itll happen.
NRG have obviously been having some kind of issues. Saw Chet crying about not being able to get scrims, but idk how true that really is. At the end of the day, there's a noticeable difference from Optic at the end of 2022 and NRG now, and I don't think its an individual player issue.
After typing out that last paragraph and reading it back......Potter might own Chet
but you dont win against teams like NRG with 1v5 every round, he played amazing but it is not like 100+ kills for something kind of game, everyone put up their performances and demon1 elevated it to pretty high level , he essentially multiplied it but still i would give some kind of credit to Potter as getting demon1 in a team is also her find....
Shes good, but keep in mind this rosters core ( potter + jawg, c0m, boostio) for the most part has existed for a long time and their only real achievement was beating prime Optic in a group stage match. adding Ethan and especially Demon1 was what made them improve at the rate at which they are now
id say MCE got it over her for now, but shes definitely increased her stock a lot. what happens at tokyo and champs is what should be used to include her in the goat talks
