this is just speculation, but if riot followed EXACTLY the same format as KR stage 3 challengers, this is what the playoff seeding would look like:

Group C #1 Seed
Group B #2 Seed

Group B #1 Seed
Group C # 2 Seed

Group A #1 Seed
Group D #2 Seed

Group D #1 Seed
Group A #2 Seed

that's what i thought at first, but then i realized it's A vs D and B vs C which makes sense, even though the groups were kinda randomized too

After the conclusion of the fourth day of matches, a random draw will seed the Knockout Stage. The four teams who will have advanced out of their group in 1st place will be randomly assigned a yet-to-be-determined 2nd place team from a different group.

expect it is, one of the playoffs is on the same day as 2 group games, thats why they had the shit format first. but riot will most likely make it so that they dont start with the first playoff game so that no team has to play 2 games a day

Its prolly the two groups that would be playing in the second day of the quarter finals, therefore all teams will have a day to prepare.

Its only one quarter finals that day, probably the 2nd of group a vs whoever. Since then noone has to play 2 games a day

Unless they changed it again. In their first format update, they said they were able to change the format from a 4 team playoff to a 8 team playoff without having the end of group play and start of playoffs on the same day. They said this was possible by eliminating group finals.
